Went to Temple University in Philly.  Got a BA in Broadcasting, worked in that biz for 6 years, then got into sales and now sell copiers, printers and document management software here in Cincy.  Going to XU for MBA as well....to get out of sales eventually.  Anticipating burn out in 5 years or so.

Mind me asking you which station you worked at (assuming it was in Philly)?

Worked at WTXF (Fox29) from 1996-1999, then went to the agency side.  I dont miss that business at all, but miss some of the people.  Fox was young then and exciting.

Are you from PHL?

So you had a thing for going to school in towns named "Bowling Green"?

Just thought I'd give you guys a little update...I quit UC and now work at a rubber duck factory right outside of Batavia.

To reuse Riverviewers guote, Congratulations!  Sounds like it'll be right up your alley!

Hey David!  Looks Awesome, your dawings anyway!  I was down there last week to go to the Library.  For being a student at Miami, I sure am down there a lot.  I had to be there for when Paul?  (the guy who designed the DAAP buildig) was there giving a talk.  Interesting man.  I can relate with your picture there, although, I think your desk is too clean!  I've had red bull only once before in my life before comming to Miami, now its the only thing that I drink.

Jeremy

I'm young... sue me

I'm a Sophmore at Wilmington High (go canes)

and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to UC to get into their Architecture and Urban Design programs. I also want to do something with Business and Chinese, and I want to get a co-op in cincinnati (maybe with GBBN so they send me to China) because I love the city.

LOL that is a very clean desk.

Here's mine from last year.  (I'm currently a senior at the University of Michigan College of Architecture and Urban Planning)

I wish I would have kept that pistons sign in the background

^^^^^^

I'm jealous.  UofM in Urban Planning would be my dream degree.

LOL! Mine is usually a lot messier than that but I cleared it so I could actually have room to draw but yours still takes the cake :] I didn't know you were in arch or planning; thats awesome. I wish I had that many projects done already.

Yes, unfortunately, I drain hours of my life away working in the studio. I'm surprised I have that many projects done considering we socialize with each other more than getting work done.

You do that too?  I thought we socialized too much!

Just found out today that I will be continuing my education at the University of Pittsburgh for urban/regional studies in January.

OSU '89.  Now I work at HBO.

Hey we should have like a little local forum meet and have one of you DAAPers that have been there for several years be like a tour guide..or atleast have a few people come along with general knowledge that could answer a few questions. I think a lot of people on here would be interested in going and seeing the crazy interior and the design projects that are always on display.

I feel that I know the campus VERY well, and am always willing to give tours.  Just PM me if you want to check out the campus.

Also, a great time to check out DAAP and everything its students have to offer is during 'DAAP Works'.  It is a great event put on each year, where the graduating students put their final work up for display.  Professionals from all over the country come in to check out the work and offer jobs.  From my experience the work that is on display is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!  If you live in/near Cincinnati it is a must see event!!!!

DAAP is utter trash.  Imagine Columbus' Convention Center...minus the food court.  I'd rather get a tour of the Cincinnati Bible College (which atleast has a nice skyline view).

Put the bldg aside and look at what the students have to offer.  DAAP is the college....Aronoff is the bldg!!!  If you don't like the bldg so be it, but don't lump the college into the same negative criticisms.

daap is 2 buildings; aranoff and alms.  when i'm in classes, i contemplate which one i despise the most.  it's honestly a tough call that even after 4 years, i can't answer.  the entire 'plex' gives the finger to context while providing us, inside, with rooms that inspire suicidal thought.

I understand the suicidal thought about the rooms in Aronoff...but Alms??  That is an older industrial like bldg.  The studios have huge windows and the building is built of brick (exposed throughout the interior).  I find Alms to be quite charming (FYI...Alms is the bldg in which the School of Planning resides).
