Posted June 10, 200817 yr Here are just a few pics I toke while at the Art Fest. It was a lot of fun and the shops and galleries were awesome, however there were no photos allowed in the galleries :( There were many musical bands around and opera singers and many of the galleries had free wine and cheese YUM!. I wish I would have taken pictures of some of the alleys around there and the seating areas that were open behind the shops themselves, which I never knew existed. Overall a great experience however the restaurants and pastry shops were packed and the waits were kind of long. Yay Bocce Ball! People never take good pictures of me :x My Random Pic

June 10, 200817 yr I was going to go again yesterday, but unfortunately did not get the chance. I was there from roughly 5:30 - 9 P.M on Saturday.
June 10, 200817 yr If this was yesterday, I was there! Me too, yay. Nice stuff though Little Italy is fun.
June 10, 200817 yr This city is hoppin'! Well, at least Little Italy is; and usually is. LI Artwalk is always fun... Just wish LI could share some of those folks w/ downtown which, on Sunday, was a total ghost town, which saddens me esp when I travel to other cities... I really wish I knew what it's gonna take to get more people down there more often... Anyway, nice shots.

Of course its going to be slow unless there's an event now - Sunday is a church & stroll type day - it's generally pretty slow everywhere, I don't really think that's a valid criticism. As someone who lived in Little Italy for two years, Downtown always has more people on the street. The Mayfield commercial strip looks great on the weekends, but only for a short period of time - I actually feel safer Downtown because there are more people out.
June 10, 200817 yr I was there on Friday night. It was pretty cool, especially how the owner of the wine store kept pouring $100+ wine into our glasses for free.
