I dont know if anyone has seen this yet, but here's an article for the best/worst cities for certain jobs as far as salary goes.  It shows the base pay and the adjusted pay when cost of living is figured in. Houston pretty much ran away with just about every category while NYC was the worst for everything. Cincy was ranked in the top 3 twice and Cleveland was ranked once.  Just something to keep yourself occupied for a few minutes.

EXACTLY, as I tell the shopping center crowd; I live like royalty based on my meager income and the cost of living here. Then I talk to guys whom I wait on at work who make a half a million as a lawyer in NYC and my apartment is bigger and nicer than theirs (and I have an indoor parking spot too). Not that its all that mattes, but oh well :)

architect is on there.  I'm still stuck between whether to become an architect or planner.  I have only another year of grad school to make this decision.
