July 26, 200618 yr ColDay that Trina song is so old it could vote :[ Coshocton on steroids lolololololollll
July 26, 200618 yr That Trina song's ending is a classic and should be used in all Cleveland-based conversations. But remember, I do <3 Cleveland! Well, the people atleast (I don't dig the whole wood-frame duckbill-looking housing stock and depressed streetscapes that make Detroit look like Wicker Park, Chicago). July 27, 200618 yr Wicker Park...I think I found a cheap hooker there....oh wait..maybe that was Detroit Ave here in Cleveland...shit..I was too drunk, I can't remember....
July 27, 200618 yr Wicker Park...I think I found a cheap hooker there....oh wait..maybe that was Detroit Ave here in Cleveland...shit..I was too drunk, I can't remember.... Detroit Avenue, definately. It was probably MayDay. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 27, 200618 yr Fact is, we're not a first-tier (NYC, LAX, CHI) or even second-tier city anymore (BOS, PHL, WDC, DAL, SFO, DET). Maybe that will change someday, but let's do the hard work first, then congratulate ourselves. I can give a damn about this thread but don't you ever put beloved San Francisco below shitty LA again. That will not stand. San Francisco is #1 in Cali hands down.
July 27, 200618 yr Trina's hot, but those threads look like she grabbed the plastic tablecloth from a ghetto pizza parlor, cut it up, put it on, and said "aint' nuttin' too good fer this byatch!" Shut yo white ass up! I am NOT a racist...I just find white people hilarious! N*gga, you ain't lied yet! Um, you sure are representing like you're from Cleveland! Even the white boys from Cleveland walk, talk and keep it more gangsta than the brothers from C-bus. I'm going back to reading my Webster's Dictionary now. Though shalt keep it real. July 27, 200618 yr Twas' a joke for MayDay. Perhaps you don't understand that in the FrostBelt up there? "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 27, 200618 yr ^^^^LOL...I've seen his pictures....slap a wig on him and after a long night of drinking...he may have fooled me! (just having fun at your expense mayday) :-D

That will not stand. San Francisco is #1 in Cali hands down. Population-wise, SFO is second tier. On quality-of-life, SFO is a much nicer city than LAX. And it certaintly doesn't belong in the same class as DET. But, population wise, that's how things stack up. Didn't mean to offend you and your beloved Frisco. But what are you doing reading month-and-a-half-old posts in a thread you don't care about? Slow night in the 'nati? Ironic, that you say that since I am currently on the road but as a mod, I do lurk over Cleveland threads from time to time.

July 27, 200618 yr The delusions, the defensiveness, the envy... Who's the one spending so much time in Cleveland threads making "jokes"? I don't know what the rest of you have going, but frankly I just find this stuff tiresome.
July 27, 200618 yr This thread is making me just want to pack my bags and move to Cleveland! Monte, I don't know what part of LA you saw, but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as you do. I've never seen San Fran though, and from the photos on here it looks pretty spectacular.
July 27, 200618 yr "^^^^LOL...I've seen his pictures....slap a wig on him and after a long night of drinking...he may have fooled me!" Trust me - I tried that only ONCE for Halloween (despite what you people may think), back in 1997. Let me tell ya - my ex, who was 6'2" and of Mexican descent looked better and more convincing than I did. If I ever needed a reason to never try drag again - that was it. I was Jackie Ohmygod, and he was Salma Nella - it wasn't pretty. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 27, 200618 yr Down in the Cuyahoga? ZING! Does anything good or bad ever happen in Columbus? I spent a week there one day and I realized why people from outside Ohio confuse us with Iowa. You probably looking cute, cause your skin is fabulous and your young.
July 27, 200618 yr KJP, what are you talking about, they have the international destination of Easton, the eigth wonder of the world. (sorry, had to throw one in)
July 27, 200618 yr The delusions, the defensiveness, the envy... Who's the one spending so much time in Cleveland threads making "jokes"? I don't know what the rest of you have going, but frankly I just find this stuff tiresome. Of course, you do. Those that don't get it are those that will get it. Down in the Cuyahoga? ZING! Better to be kept a secret than to be exposed as a mistake. KJP, what are you talking about, they have the international destination of Easton, the eigth wonder of the world. July 27, 200618 yr ColDayMan seriously, You started this then turn this around and say someone should be envious of you because of where you live! You are the OCD guy, running from Cleveland board to Cleveland board looking for some dumb-ass thing to say. If you want to be left alone in this regard, leave it alone. Seriously..it's UrbanOHIO...if some idiot wants to put up 11 I Love Cleveland threads, who cares? If someone wants to believe Cincy is the best city in Ohio and put it in his tag, who cares? But you do have some weird obssesion with people that are fond of Cleveland and NE Ohio. My question is why? Anyway, chill, son. I love Cleveland and the Warehouse District, Columbus and the Short North, Cincinnati and OTR, Toledo and the waterfront, Dayton and Wright AFB, Akron, home of LeBron, Canton and the Football Hall and Y'town and the Penguins...even Parma! Hell my friends are from all over the state and they're the funkiest people in country, I'd argue the world. :)
July 28, 200618 yr Wait...there are other Cleveland boards??? ColDayMan seriously, You started this then turn this around and say someone should be envious of you because of where you live! You are the OCD guy, running from Cleveland board to Cleveland board looking for some dumb-ass thing to say. If you want to be left alone in this regard, leave it alone. But you do have some weird obssesion with people that are fond of Cleveland and NE Ohio. My question is why? My question is...don't you GET IT?!?! This entire thread (well, latter half) is a joke. It's non-stop jokes from KJP, MayDay, myself, and others. If you don't "get that," then Jesus praise Allah because it puts into doubt the actual humor that is presented in Northeast Ohio (thank God for the pope, KJP, X, and MayDay...and a few others). Do we get it now? I love Cleveland; I love all Ohio cities. This thread is simply a mocking of the endless "Insert Adjective Here Cleveland" threads. Do we get that? Have some damn fun! July 28, 200618 yr ^oh hilariousness, itsfunny that people will take ColDay comments seriously in the first place! anyway i would argue that something titled "The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread" *technically* shouldnt even mention cleveland at all and just complain about how awful columb...erm The Suburb of OSU is...
July 28, 200618 yr ".if some idiot wants to put up 11 I Love Cleveland threads, who cares?" I care. As an Admin, I like to keep things "tidy" :-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 28, 200618 yr What? I never take ColDayMan seriously... Um, that's not what I meant. You know I luv ya buddy (don't tell MayDay, he might get jealous). I'm going to see to it that the brothers from Cleveland make you an honorary black man. As for the rest of you Clevelanders who get riled up over all these exchanges, stop posting how perfect Cleveland is (and actually believe it). If you can't laugh at the dumb ass things this city has done (and still does), then you are in serious need of a bong, beer, backrub, or blowjob. July 28, 200618 yr KJP, I cherish every sip of my Burning River Pale Ale, but your last sentence almost made me spit it all over my monitor! I have to agree - the ability to laugh at yourself is priceless - ask me how I know! clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 28, 200618 yr ^oh hilariousness, itsfunny that people will take ColDay comments seriously in the first place! I don't take them seriously. I just find them pointless. This thread is simply a mocking of the endless "Insert Adjective Here Cleveland" threads. Do we get that? Have some damn fun! Maybe that's the rub. 8ShadesofGray started a Cleveland "firsts and greatests" thread to provide documentation for what can seem like empty claims about the city's achievements, which you promptly folded into this one. So no -- this thread isn't all a mockery. Someone tried to start a worthwhile (and, gasp, earnest) thread that was not about mindless boosterism, and you chose to trivialize it by adding it to what's apparently regarded as a joke thread. A strange decision, IMO.
July 28, 200618 yr ColDayMan and others, Didn't know you guys were playing sounded serious to me. Mucho apologizo or something like that. :)
July 30, 200618 yr Just wondering if anyone saw City of Cleveland Division of Water's new ad campaign.
July 30, 200618 yr Just wondering if anyone saw City of Cleveland Division of Water's new ad campaign. Love it!!!
July 30, 200618 yr Super ad. That's actually a very nice picture of downtown. Is there a way we can see it without the text and the water department's logo on it? ...Especially since this is the "I Love Cleveland" thread! July 30, 200618 yr I can't remember where I found the pic and when I edited it I resaved it as the same file so I don't have it :(
July 31, 200618 yr on a brain drain/loving cleveland note.. I was glad to hear that my cousin is moving back to Cleveland. Last fall, he told me that he wanted to move somewhere warmer. Now after living in Columbus for a few years, he's moving back to Cleveland because "he's sick of having to take the highway to get anywhere."
July 31, 200618 yr lol, by warmer I was expecting you to say Florida or something. He was already living in Columbus. He was thinking about a move to a sunbelt state.
July 31, 200618 yr ColDayMan and others, Didn't know you guys were playing sounded serious to me. Mucho apologizo or something like that. :) Now inform this "blinker" guy that and we'll be all good. Cleveland doesn't HAVE highways! It has grand boulevards that are like 10 lanes wide that take you to Legacy Village and that beach thingie with Nordstrom. Good for Cleveland; stay positive! I remember he'd always be tryin to crack jokes in front of me and the Ohio Players. We got so fed up with him. George Clinton was there and got so annoyed he went upside little Chris' head with his pimp cane. Damn..
