And you know the computer has mastered sarcasm because Data asks to learn about humor and the computer sticks him with Joe Piscopo.

sorry...

Conspiracy? Ha. Not sure what's up. I suppose some unseen, higher force doesn't want the world to enjoy the official video "Sleepwalk" by the band Pere Ubu.

Even when measured as trees per square mile?

^ yeah maybe overall because cle = 75 sq mi & nyc = 300 sq mi, but i would seriously doubt square mile for square mile cle has less trees than nyc does.

Do we really need another serial killer in Cleveland??

This was last year but kind of cool

^I hadn't seen this.  Very very cool.

Cleveland named top family vacation destination   "actually, cleveland came in second on their list..."

Financial news and services website The Street.com lists Cleveland as one of the "Top Cities to Consider for Your Next Family Vacation." The list is based on rankings in GoGoBot.com's list of "2016 "Family Travelers' Rising Stars Destinations."

For awhile now I've always felt like WKYC is the anti-cle.com. Always having stories that highlight the positives and good things going on in the city instead of the sensationalist headlines and negativity always trying to bring the city down. Nice to have a different voice.

Reddit votes Cleveland skyline to the top of city thread

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Apparently Cleveland's skyline beats views in other places such as Florida, France and Italy.

No, we're not kidding. Reddit really, really likes this aerial picture of Cleveland's skyline. They voted it to the top of /r cityporn, a thread that hosts pictures of beautiful views in cities around the world. The thread has more than 149,000 subscribers.

^ I hate to be a hater, but I find it kind of sad that we got so excited over a Reddit post that a Cleveland.com article was written about it. And the picture has since dropped to #2 on r/cityporn

I was glad to see that the comments on the Reddit post were all mostly positive

Yeah, being at the top of a reddit page is a pretty fleeting accomplishment.  I'm chalking up the hype to most people not understanding how reddit works.

Seems obvious that the reporter doesn't:  "Apparently Cleveland's skyline beats views in other places such as Florida, France and Italy."

It is a cool picture (but it also bothers me that it's at least 6 years old. Notably, the Columbia Building is still standing and the old LeBron banner is still hanging.)

As a non-American, I always picture the US as either Manhatten or the middle of nowhere. It's so weird to see a place that is neither. The separation between the taller buildings is so unusual.

^Reminds me of the line in Coming to America when Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are deciding which part of the US to move to.

cleveland named one of 15 great meeting cities by smart meetings...

The storied Rust Belt city is currently experiencing $3 billion in meetings-related infrastructure development that is transforming the destination, which will soon bask in the spotlight as the host city of the Republican National Convention.

Are offsite meetings still a big deal in some business areas?  In manufacturing their frequency is greatly reduced.
