March 24, 20223 yr Speaking as someone who lived in Wales for a few years, I can confirm. I dated a woman who was from a town called Ynyswbwl. Sounds like ‘in-a-snowball’. EDIT: That phonetic pronunciation above is a fairly rough approximation that locals tell English people is good enough to get on with. Seeing as a few people liked this post, the more accurate phonetic pronunciation is ‘un-iss-a-bull’. My hovercraft is full of eels

May 16, 20223 yr I love these types of stories of people relocating to Cleveland. And of course a California newspaper calling us the “North Coast.” :) As we've said numerous times previously, I feel we underestimate of what CWRU means to the city and region as a draw of people and resources from outside the region. Stories like these add up pretty quickly. Napa Valley Prep Football: Justin-Siena's Parlett opts for North Coast over West Coast, signing with Case Western Reserve of Cleveland https://napavalleyregister.com/sports/high-school/napa-valley-prep-football-justin-sienas-parlett-opts-for-north-coast-over-west-coast-signing/article_5acc95a4-d490-11ec-b45b-dbfd1e0d973a.html Some of the quotes made me laugh, including: Ryan Parlett said he was amazed how cheap it was to dine in the Cleveland area – always a plus for a college student’s budget. Caden might want to order in, though, once winter hits. “I’ll need a new wardrobe, for sure. I only have California clothes." Edited May 16, 20223 yr by MuRrAy HiLL

May 19, 20223 yr Undersized? Not at all for a program like CWRU. These are student athletes, emphasis on student. High school football teams across the country are filed with guys like him. Good students and undersized. As a plus, some of these kids who come here for the education and football end up staying here after graduation.
May 26, 20223 yr Not sure if anyone is aware of Poko Traveler on youtube but he is a local guy who takes walking tours of mostly downtown Cleveland. I would recommend checking out some of his past videos. They are oddly addictive. This is the latest one about Heinens and the recently opened Mitchells Ice Cream space. i

June 2, 20223 yr Nothing that special - but I had a very nice Memorial Day at Edgewater. Riding my bike down to the beach for a swim on a hot day is one of my favorite things to do in this city. When you see such a wide cross section of the city enjoying the space too, its hard not to think "I love Cleveland." If you haven't already, come on down the next chance you get, the waters fine.
June 2, 20223 yr Agree. Also the Cleveland Metroparks taking control of Edgewater was a game changer. It's now an asset instead of an eyesore. https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/
