I love how every Welsh town looks like somebody just bashed their hand around the keyboard when typing it.

When is the last time I-71 turned a profit?

Speaking as someone who lived in Wales for a few years, I can confirm. I dated a woman who was from a town called Ynyswbwl. Sounds like ‘in-a-snowball’.

EDIT: That phonetic pronunciation above is a fairly rough approximation that locals tell English people is good enough to get on with.
Seeing as a few people liked this post, the more accurate phonetic pronunciation is ‘un-iss-a-bull’.

It looks as if Rose Ironworks created the design.

About A Christmas Story:

Christmas is approaching and 9 year-old Ralphie wants only one thing: a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun. When he mentions it at the dinner table, his mother’s immediate reaction is that he’ll shoot his eye out. He then decides on a perfect theme for his teacher but her reaction is like his. He fantasizes about what it would be like to be Red Ryder and catch the bad guys. When the big day arrives he gets lots of present under the tree including a lovely gift from his aunt that his mother just adores. But what about the BB gun?

Agreed.  There’s really no where else in the world I’d rather be than Cleveland from May - September ☀️

@Sapper DaddyCleveland is a great summer-fall city, but so is just about every decent-sized city on the Great Lakes.

I agree 100%, but I do have an admitted bias towards Cleveland.. there is no mistaking the greatest location in the nation 😎

I love these types of stories of people relocating to Cleveland.  And of course a California newspaper calling us the “North Coast.” :)

As we've said numerous times previously, I feel we underestimate of what CWRU means to the city and region as a draw of people and resources from outside the region.  Stories like these add up pretty quickly.

Napa Valley Prep Football: Justin-Siena's Parlett opts for North Coast over West Coast, signing with Case Western Reserve of Cleveland

Some of the quotes made me laugh, including:

Ryan Parlett said he was amazed how cheap it was to dine in the Cleveland area – always a plus for a college student’s budget. Caden might want to order in, though, once winter hits.

“I’ll need a new wardrobe, for sure. I only have California clothes."

Congratulations to this guy, but the thing that shocked me is he’s 5’7”!  Seems a bit undersized for any football position these days.

Shaq Washington was Cincinnatti's all time leading receiver in the late 20-teens and he's 5'7".

Undersized? Not at all for a program like CWRU. These are student athletes, emphasis on student. High school football teams across the country are filed with guys like him. Good students and undersized.

As a plus, some of these kids who come here for the education and football end up staying here after graduation.

Not sure if anyone is aware of Poko Traveler on youtube but he is a local guy who takes walking tours of mostly downtown Cleveland. I would recommend checking out some of his past videos. They are oddly addictive. This is the latest one about Heinens and the recently opened Mitchells Ice Cream space.

i was streetviewing crimson capital offices, which kjp sez is trying to build a hotel in cleveland's midtown, and i came upon this surprize.

its not strictly cleveland, but hey, start spreading the news: ohio's got a 0% corporate income tax rate  👍

Nothing that special - but I had a very nice Memorial Day at Edgewater. Riding my bike down to the beach for a swim on a hot day is one of my favorite things to do in this city. When you see such a wide cross section of the city enjoying the space too, its hard not to think "I love Cleveland." If you haven't already, come on down the next chance you get, the waters fine.

Agree.  Also the Cleveland Metroparks taking control of Edgewater was a game changer.   It's now an asset instead of an eyesore.

Amen. The improvements they have made, and will continue to make, are having a ripple effect across the entire near westside.

A word to the wise - be bullish on this area ; )

I've got to say as far as ESPN shouting arguments goes, this was pretty coherent with good points on both sides.
