February 3, 201015 yr Mercy to build $40.5 million new hospital in Willard By AARON KRAUSE - Reflector Staff Writer | Wednesday February 03 2010, 9:21am WILLARD - Mercy Willard Hospital is planning to build a $40.5 million, two-story facility, with groundbreaking scheduled for July. Marsha Danhoff, rural division senior director, said the current 80,000 square-foot hospital is landlocked on 1.6 aces at 110 E. Howard St. The new 101,000 square-foot property will be located on the corner of U.S. 224 and Neal Zick Road and stand on 44 acres. The hospital purchased the property in 2008. Construction is scheduled to begin in August or September and hospital officials expect work to be complete in Spring 2012.
