I passed through Paulding a couple times last week and decided to get some new pics.

Paulding has the potential to be a pretty attractive town if cleaned up, especially with all the stone facades. I noticed the new 'Fort to Port'/U.S. 24 overpass for U.S. 127 looked to replicate the stonework seen in Paulding.

Good tour. Paulding does indeed have potential, and it looks like some of it is being realized.

If only Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot and Menards would die and not be replaced by even bigger, more parasitic evil monsters, little towns like this would come back to life. In that area, almost no one is more than a half hour from a Super Wal Mart.

Nice photos, Ink!  And yes, I'm almost certain that building was a firehouse at one time, I've seen many historic photos of firehouses that looked almost identical. Paulding has some nice historic urban architectecture and has not re-muddled too many of it's old buildings. I'll put that on my list of places to visit in the future. Thanks!

Needs a clean up.

Looks like a cute little town, just needing that little push to get motivated to spruce up downtown.  The torn awnings and cheap 60s facades on older buildings don't help motivate to come shop.  Granted there is no magic pill to entice shoppers, but little things do help, and at the same time help instill civic pride.  Guess not every town can be a gem, this one sure has potential though.

The courthouse is strange, quirky, yet attractive.  Like the dome, but the rest of the building looks oddly proportioned.
