Okay, Jane Austen has nothing to do with this thread, and I know the title sounds potentially smutty but no. I went to Cleveland's Pride festival on Saturday, and I have a few random shots just lying around so I piggybacked them into this thread. Since Key Tower makes an appearance in so many of these shots, some appropriate music:

First, the piggybackers!

And now onto Pride - a decent day, and like most Pride festivals - a washout a few hours after I arrived  :|

A great place to catch one of the musical acts with the skyline in the background:

People taking a breather:

A world of NO!!!

But the crowd seemed a little sparse - oh that's right, we need to go to the BEER GARDEN!

This performer goes by the stage name of B!tch (sic so those of you at work don't trip the profanity filters). The lesbians LOVE her, so I tried to see what she was about. After the 7th time she repeated "I am a land mass", accompanied by hushed guitar - I decided that I could never be a folksy lesbian music enthusiast:

I think Mother Nature wasn't pleased that I didn't care for the earthy music :-(

And the mass exodus:

Luckily we had VIP parking! I snapped this pic - sorry about the blur but it was absolutely surreal: windy and drops of rain at the festival - raining SIDEWAYS further south on East 9th Street! Yeah, that blur amongst the skyscrapers was NOT from my camera!  :-o

But it's all good - Miss Ross took it all in stride:

And with that, I bid adieu:

Consistently phenomenal, Mayday.

Nice MayDay

I almost thought Forest City was flying the Rainbow flag. :-o Now that I put my classes on, I think it is an Indians flag. Ms. Ross as in Melissa Ross? Wow she's been around a long time.

If FC/TC flew the Rainbow flag, I'd climb Terminal Tower.

Melissa Ross, has been around a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time, but atleast she's still here!

Beautiful skyline shots.

I meant Miss Ross as in Diana from the Supremes era (helLO, look at the ensemble!), and yes to the best of my knowledge Melissa Ross is still kicking up her stilettos :-)

I thought that was what you meant at first but then I remembered there was another Miss Ross in town.

So THAT'S what they look like!

Yep, I see the throngs of people pushing and shoving to sigh up!

thoroughly entertaining...

You should get an award for your photography, Mayday.  I'm looking at this set again and thinking, "These really are much, much better than the photos in most magazines and newspapers!"

Phabulous Photos!

Perhaps Mother Nature was trying to stop the earthy music.

What is this!? Very nice photos MayDay.

And some cuties in there :)

The Blue Glass structure is the Pinnacle condominiums completed in probably 06', maybe 05', in the warehouse district.

Excellent photos, Good Times!  Too bad the weather took a turn for the worst.

and yes to the best of my knowledge Melissa Ross is still kicking up her stilettos

Wow, shut up!  Good for her!  I love how she used to change out of her fancy dress after her act...she'd come out and mingle in the crowd in a Pantsuit.

Those pantssuits were a hot mess!!  I remember once she fell of the stage at numbers.

Too bad about the rain spoiling the festivities.  But at least everybody got out and you got a few great photos.  Hopefully the rain encouraged the guy in the undersized shorts to cover himself up!  Yikes.

The photo with the Key Tower and the E 6th St sign is great.

Key Tower is so pretty.  I'm always amazed by it.

Once the Terminal Tower's renovations are through (when the hell is that supposed to be anyway), then it will nicely balance Key

Cool shots. My fave....

^I like that one, too.

It just kills me that they keep scheduling the Clifton Arts Fest and Pride on the same day.  I know there's a shuttle between the two, but still...

Log Cabin Republicans are real???  I thought they were just a myth, a very scary myth.

no complaints here.

very professional, in particular the one with the health line bus.  In fact, that one is now my wallpaper on my cell, if you don't mind

HOLY HELL!!!  I don't know how gay people can call themselves fashion savvy and then through crap like this on.
