Bigger than I thought!

You learn something new everyday, I didn't know there was a Covington in Ohio.

Great photos of a town I've never heard of. The two buildings with the metal mesh cladding to cover up their (probably historic) facades, really stand out. That metal cover up stuff is ugly when it is brand new, but when it becomes old and rusty it is REALLY ugly!!! Talk about urban "blight"! It should be illegal to cover up a building with that junk.

I've been to Covington a few times... mostly to eat at a restaurant with my parents. I forget what its called but they have an enormous stuffed buffalo right when you walk in... Buffalo Jack's maybe... something like that....

 

it was the first time i have ever had rattle snake or alligator before... very interesting.  :|

I first passed through Covington 29 years ago next week, when I was on a Cardinal Trail bicycle trip across the state. I had breakfast and a great place called the South End Bar. Is it still there?

 

A few architectural travesties, but some real gems, too. Nice-looking place.
