With all the weddings taking place, I wonder how many UO'ians are hitched or avoiding commitment?  Discuss!

I did my absolute best to avoid commitment, but somehow it always knew where I was!

You two are a hoot!

Single but I want to be married when I'm about 28 as well as have a few kids. I'm pretty traditional. I'll probably give all my resources to my wife and kids then be divorced during my midlife crisis before giving up whatever assets I have left.

Single, but not for lack of looking.....just nobody wants a broken down over the hill geek with a peg leg, wooden teeth and no money.  :-P

Finding the perfect mate isn't easy.  Have had hundreds a couple committed relationships, which all nearly wound up getting me committed.

Wife #2 is the first girl I ever kissed...........

How romantic

Single but have major commitment issues. Cant help that I'm a whore!

I didn't realize I was single until I quit drinking and smoking. Now I hate being single.

I've been single for so long that sometimes I forget how much I miss all the yelling, accusations and fights.

I remember that date well.  I was in my gym class and everyone got all (inexplicably) excited and happy when we heard about it, myself included.  We were all running through the locker room and I, like an idiot, didn't notice that the ceiling was getting lower and lower.  While running at top speeds I jumped, bashed my forehead, got knocked out, and was carried to the nurse's office where she took one look at me and sent me straight to the ER via an ambulance.

Not at ALL embarassing.  Thanks a lot, Juice.

Funny how everybody (including myself) remembers what they were doing that day. My parents' generation had the day of JFK's assassination and we have OJ's chase.

I've been married for almost 8 years. We have a nearly 3-yr old boy and a 5-month old girl.

i am throwing in the towel on single life on december 12.  I fought the good fight as long as i could.

Married for 7 years with three little kiddies. Livin the dream!

I remember where I was too - and when the verdict was announced.  Still, I would put Sept 11 as the date equivalent to "where were you when JFK was shot" ahead of anything OJ related.

In a long term relationship...

I'm in a long-term committed relationship.  Me and my girlfriend just celebrated our 5-year Anniversary on June 3rd.  We're both happy with where we're at, and both want to finish college and get jobs in order before we dot the i's and cross the t's.  So probably another year or so before the inevitable happens.

Good idea.  My hubby and I dated 5 years, both finished school and THEN got married.  Nothing like being financially stable when you start off.

I have a single twin sister though.....any takers? :) Ha, just kidding!

Do you buy a car before you test drive it?  Didn't think so.

Oh the double entendre's I could make.....

Yeah, marriage is very much like buying a new car!

It quickly loses that new car smell!!!!

I'm the same as you!  Engaged to be engaged to be married :)

Happily partnered (since Ohio's marriage laws forbid anything "official") - it'll be three years in August. :-)

Three years?  Wow, the time has really flown by.  Congrats!

Long-term, me and my girlfriend have been together 6 years this past May.  I am planning on asking her to marry me very soon.  I'm is the same boat as you two, as that was our original plan (I'm working on my MUPDD degree at the College of Urban Affairs, and she is working on her Civil Engineering degree in the Fenn College).

The husband and I have been together since November 16th, 1995... married since October 23, 1999.

Single. And happy.

got married since the last time I posted, although the official wedding has yet to take place.

Single for the past 2 years and am in no hurry to get in anything serious anytime soon.

will be married come June

Got married in 2000, Thank God it was that year so its easier to do the math and remember how many years its been. We only dated for a year or so before that but we've known each other since we were kids. We have a picture of each other playing together at my cousin's birthday party when we were 5 and 6.
