Got married in 2000, Thank God it was that year so its easier to do the math and remember how many years its been. We only dated for a year or so before that but we've known each other since we were kids. We have a picture of each other playing together at my cousin's birthday party when we were 5 and 6.

awwww how cute

Wife #2 is the first girl I ever kissed...........

I'm sorry to hear that you never kissed your first wife.

Ba-da-bing!

I am in a long-term committed realtionship.  My partner and I have been together for 7 years.  We had a commitment ceremony 3 years ago in Eureka Springs, AR (the Gay Mecca of the Ozarks).  Sixty-five friends and family attended our ceremony.  We are on the domestic partnership registry in Eureka Springs---which doesn't mean a damn thing except that we love each other.

woah---I just jump a level as a forumer---Kettering tower...cool!

It is no joke about it being a Gay mecca.  The NY times did a story on gay hideways and Eureka Springs was featured.

REALLY?  :wtf:

What would you expect of a hillside community with a business district of Victorian buildings that was taken over by hippies and writers in the sixties?

Ohio has the 6th highest gay population by state, in the U.S.

I don't like this thread. I've been single for a long time now. Every girl I've met in the past 2 years is bipolar :( lol

I am single, woohoo!

Just last week I got a copy of all of my medical records for my home files.  I am officially listed as "widowed".  My partner died almost 19 years ago, when we were both quite young.  This came as quite a shock to me, on many levels.  First, I do not think of myself in those terms; secondly, had no idea that was what was in my medical file; and thirdly, was surprised that California considered that relationship valid so long ago.

I consider myself very single, and bloody likely at this point to stay that way, damn it.

I am single, woohoo!

With that attitude of yours, I'm not surprised.  HA!

What's your excuse?  :-D

...and what I meant by that was that I am not bummed out about being single. Whatever happens happens. That does not mean that I am not putting myself out there, just that I am not going to obsess over getting into a relationship. Hope that clarifies things. lol

Divorced twice.

Looking for third and final spouse.

Damn Musky.  I think Elizabeth Taylor is free.

Do you have her number?

Sweetie if I knew, I wouldn't be single.  '97 to about '01 I didn't want to date.  I just focused on work and rebuilding the house. Since then, its been nothing but "rotten apples".

It is what it is.  :wink2:

Do you have her number?

(310) 659-3732

I hope she likes Cleveland

lmao

That's the number for an oncologist.

they*  say the third time is the charm. I am am a third wife and so far so good-13 years at least

*I actually don't know who "they" are. Probably worn out strippers, bookies and washed up celebrities or something..

edit/add: I actually a little acquainted with Elizabeth Taylor for a time in the 70's when she was married to John Warner. They occasionally attended the church  (http://www.emmanuelmiddleburg.org/index.cfm)  we occasionally attended. a lovely lady, but a little long in the tooth for Musky, i think

That was my attitude when I moved to PA almost two years ago.  Now I have been with a girl for a little over a year now.  So anything can happen with that attitude.

Still single, but this thread is so much fun ...

I've been in some committed relationships, but I was the only one feeling any commitment.

Some say it's because I was looking for love in all the wrong places. Maybe not all the wrong places, but all the ones I knew about.

I'm still hoping, but while I'm waiting for Mr. Right, I might consider a temp. Mr. Right Now? Anyone?

:-D

Single as of the 2nd! lol

Single for 9 years now, have been LOVIN' it, but am ready to go on the hunt in 2009.

lmao

Ha, eerie, we had a University Circle anniversary as well.  We stayed at the Glidden House (one of the mansion suites), had dinner in Little Italy, and lunch the next day at Sergio's.  I've wanted to try L'Albatross since talk of it opening on here, but haven't made it up there yet.  Hope you have fun!

^The glidden house is fabulous... I took my wife there for a mystery stacation this summer.  I think we're mixing in some wade oval ice skating and the holiday show at the botanical garden... my poor wife, I never let her out of the city proper

^TMI

I will be engaged soon, I already have the ring :)

I get to be the first UO widower. yay.

While I cannot know what it is like to be in your shoes, I am sorry for your loss.

I'm in a long-term committed relationship.  Me and my girlfriend just celebrated our 5-year Anniversary on June 3rd.  We're both happy with where we're at, and both want to finish college and get jobs in order before we dot the i's and cross the t's.  So probably another year or so before the inevitable happens.

Dude...Randy...what happened?

I am currently batting 1000...my long term partner died years ago...the latest just married (his girlfriend!) last week.  Oy vey.  That was just what I needed to end the year on an up note.  Think I'll join a monestary.  That was much more difficult than the first one dying, believe me!
