They've acquired a whole downtown block, infilled the holes, and built a new structure to the rear to front a new parking lot. Rear Front

July 6, 200816 yr Amazing! I had heard of it, but had no idea it's so well preserved and beautiful. I want to visit the bicycle museum. It once was on Navy Pier in Chicago, but went broke there and the collection was sold and moved -- maybe a couple of times -- and ended up in New Bremen. That's an amazing downtown.

The city is pretty much owned by Crown. The keep it this clean. They are partially responsible for this preservation. A lot like Longaberger owns Newark or Smuckers owns Orville. But I couldn't tell you these cities are well kept as New Bremen. Thanks for the great photos.

They've acquired a whole downtown block, infilled the holes, and built a new structure to the rear to front a new parking lot. Two of the buildings shown in ink's second photo are seen in this view from 1900 or thereabouts. These buildings are currently used as office space by Crown. There is a small fire museum in the building that includes a hand pumped fire engine that belonged to New Bremen and the hose reel shown in front of the fire station in this picture.
