About two weeks ago I was in Mexico for vacation and we visited the city of Playa del Carmen in the Rivera Maya. Playa del Carmen was originally a fishing town, but with it's ferry service to Cozumel, the city has seen a lot of development from increased tourism (for more info go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playa_del_Carmen).

Hey, I've been there!  Nice shots.  Did you go to Tulum?

I wish I could have spent more time at Playa del Carmen, but we only went there for one night (we walked around and then went to Señor Frogs).

Yes, I went to Tulum and loved it. I am about to post those pictures soon.

What a cute, and well maintained town!

Looks pretty nice. Mexico is exotic but somehow familiar.  Good pictures!

Indeed!  Thanks for posting the photos!

Nice!

Thanks, I am glad that you all liked it.

Very well put, I can't wait to go there for myself one day.

Looks lively, colorful and fun, and interestingly seedy in spots.
