July 10, 200816 yr Oh, My! Where has that one been hiding? I never knew about it, and it looks like one of the best small towns in the state.
July 10, 200816 yr That town looks straight out of the Music Man. Now that's what small town America should look like. Of course, when I saw the photo of the sweet shop and bakery it sealed the deal! Do they pronounce it Ver-sails? I kind of like it when we bastardize European names and make them homespun (within reason).
July 10, 200816 yr That was one sour pun, I´m still reeling. When I saw the name of the town I was thinking, "This is going to be an ugly town that will only serve as a polar opposite to the real thing.", but that is one fine town. How was the Sweet Shop & Bakery?
July 11, 200816 yr Good pun. Great looking town. And yes, it is pronounced "Ver-sails" instead of like the french palace pronunciation of "Ver-sigh".
July 11, 200816 yr Wow, Ver-sales actually looks quite nice. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 11, 200816 yr Yup. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 11, 200816 yr Many friends from the fine metropolis of Versailles. I've got a wedding there in October - best wedding food in Ohio. Cute small town.
July 13, 200816 yr I will attest to the fact that the bakery is not only good but inexpensive. They have seating so that you can consume your purchase and head back to the counter to purchase a second (third?) round....
July 18, 200816 yr nice lookin. i'd been to the kentucky ver-sales, but i never knew ohio had one too.
