I haven't tried this one yet, but I do know it has a big fanbase and generally considered superior to the other two Brazilian steakhouse chains we have in Columbus.

We actually only tried churrasco for the first time a few months ago. My wife had a great idea to get us trying new restaurants - we dine alphabetically. Basically, either the nationality, cuisine style, or name of the restaurant we go to on the weekend has to start with the next letter of the alphabet. For "B", we went to Brazilian Grill & Bakery off Cleveland Ave. Not only was the food great, but it felt like an authentic cultural experience.

All you could eat meat (we mostly had sirloin) and buffet (which included an amazing chicken "pot pie" called empadão de frango) was $25.99 each. The kid ate for half price, despite eating more steak than we did. Everything was super high quality and absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere lively. We truly were the only ones in the place not speaking Portuguese. We got some desserts to go which were also incredible.

The city of Pickerington announced that the locally based chain will open there with plans to bring a restaurant to the city’s redevelopment project at the intersection of Columbus and Center streets.

Bibibop is now open Tuesdays and Wednesdays downtown at 180 E Broad (Hexion building). They started offering lunch Wednesdays only about a couple months ago and are now bumping it up to two days a week. Hopefully by this summer they will increase their hours even more. It's small, but definitely a positive sign for downtown lunch options.

Brenz Pizza now open in Clintonville

An award-winning pizzeria has expanded to Clintonville.

Brenz Pizza is now open at 5063 N. High St. in the Graceland Shopping Center. It fills a spot previously occupied by Clean Eatz.

It’s the fourth local shop and the seventh overall for the brand, which started in North Carolina in 2009, though its founders and owners all are Columbus based.

Panda Express affiliate buys land for 3 potential new Columbus-area restaurants

A fast-casual Asian chain has its sights on multiple new Central Ohio locations.

Columbus Business First this week reported on Panda Express’ plans to demolish a south Columbus restaurant building in order to build a new location.

Rosemead, California-based Panda Restaurant Group has not responded to questions about its plans here in the Columbus market, but it seems that 3947 S. High St. location is not the only new Panda Express in the works around town.

It's funny they think there was one where Dunkin is now on 62. That was vacant before Dunkin. It was never a Panda Express.

Also, a small retail center is planned behind that Panda Express with a patio overlooking the detention pond. Interesting suburban use. Might end up pretty nice.

Rose Dough Donuts lands Clintonville spot for its first brick-and-mortar bakery

A local doughnut shop that started online is moving into Clintonville this summer.

Rose Dough Donuts is taking a space 3375 N. High St., which will mark the three-year-old business’ transition from online and popup sales to a traditional bakery space.

Owner Katie Passo is a Columbus native, but she spent 20 years in Chicago in the public relations and marketing world before relocating back to Central Ohio in 2021.

Cincinnati's Marx Bagels taking over Block's Bagels space

The Block’s Bagels name may be coming off the building, but its bagels will live on.

Cincinnati-based Marx Bagels is taking over the 6115 McNaughten Road bagel shop and though the name on the outside will change, the Block family’s 58-year local history won’t.

What is Marx Bagels in Blue Ash today was started by Block's founders Hal and Audrey Block in the 1960s as Hot Bagels Factory. John Marx started there as an employee and took over the shop and renamed it in 1969.
