Shakers Public House returning to west Columbus

A popular Columbus wing joint is returning to its home neighborhood.

Shakers Public House, which originally opened on the west side in 2020, is coming back to that community with plans to park its food truck permanently in the lot at 4321 W. Broad St., which is next to a Bob Evans restaurant.

Owners Spencer and Caitlin Campbell opened their first restaurant at 385 Georgesville Road, but that space was damaged in a fire, which forced the establishment to move.

I've gone a few times, mostly for drinks/small plates, but it is very good! They keep a French 75 on tap, my husband loves that lol If you like deviled eggs and truffel, they have a very yummy app as well as these cheese puff pastry things. "Things" is so French I know lol

Inside is actually quite small, but with the patio with the awning, it's a great spot on a nice weather day!! Definitely check it out!! Hanks across the street also is great!! They have a good happy hour in their lounge area from 4-6.

Dirty Frank’s Opens Inside Old North Bar

Ace of Cups upped its food selection again this month with the addition of Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace.

Dirty Frank’s opened a walk-up window on June 6 inside Ace of Cups, located at 2619 N. High St. This is the second food option added to the music venue and bar this year, following Blackened Coffee Co., which opened on the bar’s back patio in April.

While Blackened Coffee Co. is located on the bar’s backside, Dirty Frank’s is just around the corner at a new order window on the side of the Ace of Cups building. Customers can order from the outside window and inside the bar.

Harry and Rosemarie Kougendakis, who have owned and run Marino’s Seafood Fish & Chips at 1216 W. 5th Ave. near Grandview Heights since 1992, are retiring this month.

But a familiar name will fill that space.

Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips is moving in.
