Pretty crazy how they're keeping a single story in the middle of that yet getting rid of the theater.

So, is the Field House portion of Bridge Park dead or what?  Haven't heard anything about this in a long time.

I assume dead I haven't been told otherwise. The land hasn't been used yet though - so it's probably a really long term "on hold."

Exclusive: Crawford Hoying scraps plan for condo tower attached to Bridge Park hotel in favor of office building

"'Even though we've had unbelievable success with condos, we are changing that tower to office,' Crawford said. "We think because of the prominent corner that it holds, the interest we've had and people wanting to be in this market, we think it makes a perfect office location."

Crawford added that there will be "a number of first-class amenities" surrounding the office building and hotel, including a possible spa.

That's in addition to other amenities planned for the project, including the Cameron Mitchell restaurant, more food and beverage options, multiple outdoor spaces and an event and conference center.

Dublin City Council authorized a development agreement for the project this month, which Crawford called "a big step." The project still needs planning and zoning approval, but assuming that is approved by the city, construction will begin in late 2024, Crawford said."

"Crawford Hoying also is in active negotiations with "some pretty significant leases" for more office users at Bridge Park, he said."

Something tells they got a tenant pretty much locked up, I really don't think they'd build a spec 7 story office building with the headwinds that market has and just cross their fingers they can fill it.

Sorry if somebody already answered this...but what is the status of the Dublin Fieldhouse???  I know this may not seem like a huge need for some, but Central Ohio needs a high school venue of this size...DESPERATELY!!!  The Central District OHSAA tournament is a joke.  I sure hope this wasn't scrapped?

Last I heard, the Fieldhouse at Bridge Park is not happening.  However, the state of Ohio is building a new fieldhouse at the fairgrounds, but I've yet to see how many that will seat.

My guess is they altered it to align with Dublin's wish to straighten Tuller and straighten and extend Village Parkway over 270 to Emerald Parkway.

I guess a little more than a wish as Vivo living on Tuller is officially no more:

Crawford Hoying plots new townhomes at Bridge Park

Crawford Hoying wants to bring more residential units to its Bridge Park development in Dublin.

The developer recently submitted amended plans for 42 townhomes on two parcels at the intersection of John Shields Parkway and Mooney Street, which is located in Bridge Park's H Block.

The units would be built on a 2.24-acre property next to an existing townhome complex.

What is the deal with the arena that was supposed to be built? What ever happened to that?

Looks like the arena concept has been officially dropped for condos, parking garage, and office space

https://dublinohiousa.gov/pzc/24-141/

It was never realistic. Who was going to use it? Schools? Just can't justify that kind of cost. MAYBE you could get some concerts in, but something of that size just wouldn't have a draw otherwise. We already have nationwide and JSC, and those don't get utilized every day to begin with.

It was more for basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and other travel league indoor sports. There are a lot of travel leagues and most of those people would probably have enjoyed being in the suburbs rather than going downtown. I couldn’t care either way, but it most likely could have worked, but I think housing is more important.

Fishers, IN just opened a new arena for whatever reason. Capacity: 7,500

That’s because people in fishers don’t go into the scary hellhole of Indianapolis‘s downtown…..they can’t be seen around common folks.

That is fair.  Indianapolis vs. Hamilton County (IN) is definitely a thing that I don't think ANY Ohio metro has to deal with except maybe Northern Kentucky to Cincinnati.

Crawford Hoying to expand Bridge Park with new mixed-use project

Bridge Park developer Crawford Hoying is planning a new phase of the mixed-use development in Dublin.

A concept plan submitted to the city shows an office building, condominiums and a parking garage on a 5.4-acre site at 4455 Bridge Park Ave. Located next to the Wendy's headquarters and Joseph Cadillac Dublin, the project will expand Bridge Park to the east. It will be known as J Block.

They've definitely tried. Both the dealerships and the Wendy's lot across the street have held out.

I've heard that potential franchisees are toured through that location during their visits to Wendy's Corporate, and that there's a long term plan to eventually relocate that use to the Wendy's campus but not anytime soon.

I always heard it wasn't that great personally!

I do think the best Wendy's in the entire world is up on 23 in Delaware County just south of Delaware State Park. I don't know what they are doing in there, but they absolutely crush it every single time. My order is always perfect, piping hot and I don't think I've ever been in that drive-thru for longer than two minutes. Exemplarily work over there.

Or they could relocate to the original store back on Broad. 🥲

So phase 2 of this will wipe out COTA's Dublin park and ride lot... I hope there are plans to provide an alternative for riders

I believe the Dublin route is one of the better performing suburban express services. Maybe they're planning an arrangement for space in the new garage?

I'd say that's a huge amenity for bridge park residents - one that may eliminate their need for a car. Definitely don't see them getting rid of it without something else in mind.

Does anyone have an estimate of about how many people actually live at Bridge Park? I would think around 1k or more.

I don't get why they had to shut that one down. Yeah it didn't have a drive-thru and I know that is verboten in fast food today. Even if it wasn't profitable you can't even keep it open for fun?

Just make it a functioning museum, people would love it! Get some good throwback Wendy’s items that aren’t served anymore or anywhere else.

Page 19 of the schematics submitted show parking reserved for Park and Ride users and and a small interior waiting room for people to wait on the bus. Not 100% sure how it works but definitely looks like they are incorporating the Park and Ride into the floor level of the garage.

If you look at the full set of drawings, the hotel guestroom tower is seven stories along Riverside and include the spa. The event space is shorter and at the south end. The lower portion at the roundabout is the hotel lobby.

Yes, that is why I said the hotel was labeled incorrectly. That's where the first floor lobby and hotel restaurant are, and the second floor amenities, but the hotel is obviously where it's just labeled event and spa; those being on the first and second floors respectively.

More Details Revealed as Bridge Park Expansion Clears First Hurdle

A plan to expand Bridge Park to the south – across SR 161 for the first time – took an important step forward last week. The proposal calls for a new condo tower, office building, parking garage and hotel, all situated at the southeast corner of the 161/Riverside Drive intersection.

...

Representatives of the developer, Crawford Hoying, updated the board on changes made since the proposal was first submitted in 2023. The latest plan calls for a three-story parking garage topped with an eight-story residential tower on the northeast corner and a seven story hotel positioned closest to Riverside Drive. A four-story office building would be located on the southeast corner of the parcel.

Disappointed to hear they aren't pursuing the pedestrian bridge. I think that will isolate this too much and basically force people to drive across the street rather than dodge all that traffic.
