Posted July 20, 200816 yr I'm currently planning a move to Cleveland in late August. What are the best resources for finding homes for rent in Ohio City? (In addition to this forum, of course!). Looking for 2-3 bedrooms, single family home. I've been tracking Craigslist and PluggedInCleveland.com. Are there others? Are we insane to think we can find a decent place within a week of arrival (and so near to Labor Day)? Thanks! -gazer
July 20, 200816 yr Hello again, you may want to try the Ohio City Yahoo board: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ohiocityliving/ You might also consider contacting a realtor - there's a Howard Hanna realtor who is sometimes on the forum, and she's very familiar with the area. I can send her a private message if you'd like. Also, I saw your other post re: snow removal in residential alleys. Generally the issue of snow removal is handled with a hierarchy of main road > secondary road > side street > alley. My home is adjacent to an alley and generally the only time the neighbors have been snowed in - the whole city has been snowed in (aka a foot of snow overnight). That said, Ohio City (and the west side in general) doesn't see conditions like that too often. I have to say when we had the 18" of snow on the one day last year, my neighbors and I helped each other out - someone with an ATV and snowplow helped out as well. People really came together because after all, we're all in the same boat. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 21, 200816 yr Hi, welcome to the area (yes I realize I am ahead of myself lol). I am the realtor May Day is talking about and you certainly can email me through this forum if you wish. I'd be glad to help you. Not sure what your price range is but I have, right off the bat, knowledge of a 1600 sq foot town house in need of a tenant (not my listing but I know the owner of the place). I can also talk to other agents and see if any of the homes in OC they have listed might be available for lease as well. I think there is an OC cottage that falls into this category. Anyway, let me know if I can help.
