Posted August 6, 200816 yr I just noticed, people ask a lot of the same questions: "What is there to do in Columbus?" etc. Why not compile a list of the great places to go, using input from previous threads and stickie it? There's also a lot of threads where people ask what neighborhood would be right for them if they're relocating. I think it would be a good idea to have a stickie with like a general profile of neighborhoods - safety, affordability, school district, amenities or general notable things about the neighborhood, etc. We could at least do it for Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. What I'm noticing is that people are asking hte same questions and posters typically keep saying the same thing in each of these threads. Would this be too time consuming? Maybe I'm just being too trivial; just a thought.
August 6, 200816 yr A thread that includes general information with pros/cons about city neighborhoods might be useful and doable. People should be encouraged to create their own threads as each case is different. Someone may want something particular or whatever. But like I said, I think a general neighborhood information thread would be useful. How far this extends (i.e. Cleveland, Cincy, Cbus, Dayton, Akron, etc) is really up to the UO forumers.
August 22, 200816 yr If someone has the time to do this we'd be happy to add it to the site/forum. As you've said it would be very time consuming so maybe a few people can work on it.
August 23, 200816 yr I could work on a rough draft for Cinci and Columbus. I'll send the draft to Coldayman and Rando to see if they think anything should be added or changed since they're some of the most knowledgeable people in their respective cities. This might take a few days though.
