Posted August 10, 200816 yr I stayed here for awhile on my break while studying abroad in Granada back a few years. I´m rather certain I have more, but I´ll have to find them. Even without knowing much about architecture you can't help but learn about Gaudí, since his work is spread throughout the city. That´s what most of these focus on. La Pedrera Interior with period furnishings. La Rambla Buskers Park Guell Castell de Montjuïc Awesome view. No trip is complete without some pics of La Sagrada Familia. Some of the best food in Spain is Catalan. I must have gone back here five times while I was there. Until I find the rest, that´s it!

August 11, 200816 yr I visited this city during spring break while studying abroad in '98 and loved it also! Great pictures. Did you go to the top of one of the spires at La Sangrada Familia? There were great views from there and the spiral stair down gives you a bit of vertigo. Also, did you go to the Alahambra in Granada? I visted that place after Barcelona and loved it too! https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/
August 13, 200816 yr Yes, the spires do give some vertigo. It must have been visible, because a woman asked me if I was OK. There's no way you could live in Granada and not see the Alhambra. Went there twice. :-D
August 13, 200816 yr Sometimes I think of Barcelona as the world's largest grotto. Gaudi was pure genius. I'm still stunned at the physics he used in his architecture a century before computers. Great photos...are there more hiding somewhere (say on a flickr or Photobucket account?)
August 13, 200816 yr Thanks for the pics! I was only there for a few days, (also in '98, but after the semester was over in mid May) but it quickly became one of my favorite European cities. Great architecture, a temperate climate, and a beach. What more could you ask for? :)
August 14, 200816 yr Awesome shots of a phenomenal city. Was just there last September and can't wait to get back. Do you remember the name of this street? Looks like the street we stayed on, Joaquin Costa in Raval.

August 14, 200816 yr Carrer de la Canuda, I think? There are others like it. I recommend the Grácia neighborhood. Bars, restaurants, plazas, but lesser known.
August 16, 200816 yr Top 3 best cities in Europe. Incredible city but it wouldn't be above Paris, Amsterdam & Rome IMO.
