Posted August 20, 200816 yr I'm digging this easy-to-use multil-loader on imageshack :) From Staten Brooklyn - Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights Manhattan - Financial District, Soho Queens - Woodside then Flushing I'm sick of uploading pics LOL. I'll post more later.
August 20, 200816 yr Ah...you got El shots. Nice. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
August 20, 200816 yr Manhattan has "human-scaled" neighborhoods but overall most would say Brooklyn is more "appeasing," as it's more intimate, more architecturally interesting, topography, tree-cover, blah blah. Not dissing the Village, Hamilton Heights, etc...but just sayin' "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
August 20, 200816 yr I love Brooklyn because it's more laidback and I feel like it's a bit more of a sense of community. Plus, you can't beat the brownstones .. and so many other amenities.
August 20, 200816 yr NYC in the summer... I'm long overdue. Like my boss said, I need to quit spending all my vacation time in Ohio. :-)
August 20, 200816 yr Don't worry guys, I'm hard at work in Brooklyn this summer working to preserve its appeasing character from the onslaught of out of scale development! In case anyone was worried about that... Oh and nice pics!
August 20, 200816 yr You sure can beat Manhattan's prices IMO Brooklyn is no deal anymore, some areas yes, but as a whole, no.
August 20, 200816 yr what a whirlwind of a visit. i hope you stopped now and then to have some fun, too? nice job.
August 20, 200816 yr Damn.... these pics just really made me miss going to Brooklyn to visit my Grandma in the summer
August 25, 200816 yr You sure can beat Manhattan's prices IMO Brooklyn is no deal anymore, some areas yes, but as a whole, no. Someone told me there are places in Brooklyn that are still 1400/month for 2 bedroom and they're not the worst areas of the borough. To me, that's a deal. I know places like Astoria and Brooklyn Heights are outrageous but I'd be happy living almost anywhere in Brooklyn, Harlem or Queens as long as it is near convenient transportation. I know what you're saying though - insanely high rents aren't just exclusive to Manhattan. All you have to do is look at the amount of high-rises going up to see what kind of demand there is in BK. brilliant stuff Thanks dude.
