That last picture reminds me of the infill going in arounf U St. in DC (particularly the development directly accross from Ben's Chili Bowl with the Sbux in the bottom, to those who are familiar).

wait, i looked it up and *that* reminds you of the nice but mudane modern infill apts on u st in dc?!?!!
