February 20, 200718 yr LeBron....Hire me and take me away from Corporate America........ I can't believe he got Emil to do the intro. I guess LBJ is now courting "my people" to continue his media dominance. http://lebron.msn.com/Default.aspx
February 20, 200718 yr looks like the cavs may be trying to make a trade -- sideshow?: http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/sports/1171966135286780.xml&coll=2
February 20, 200718 yr I hope they don't trade Andy :-(. I have heard Mike Bibby and Juan Dixon rumors though.
February 20, 200718 yr If they trade Andy I might cry. No joke. You can't get rid of someone who's all hustle, athletic ability, and upside - especially when the league plays to atheltic and quick big men instead of neandrathals like Z And I have Andy's cell phone number through a VERY weird sequence of events. It's sits on my desktop though because I'm afraid that if I put it in my phone I might call it...

It's sits on my desktop though because I'm afraid that if I put it in my phone I might call it... I 100% agree. He's hot! Although I'd have to do something with the hair, It's just so "sideshow Bob" / "welcome back Kotter" all at time, but his accent is hoooooooooooottttt! Know you know he only speaks a little english, so if you need a translator, I'll be more than willing to speak with Andy on your behalf.

February 20, 200718 yr Know you know he only speaks a little english, so if you need a translator, I'll be more than willing to speak with Andy on your behalf. you speak Portuguese? Yes. I didn't belong to the chess or science club...I was a language geek! I speak English, Spanish, Italian, French & Portuguese (in what I think is) fluently. Voce gosta para que eu fale-lhe no portugues? O portugues nao e tao sexy quanto frances e mim nao queira o comecar quente. I also, (so-so) speak/understand German, Arabic (ex-partners mom is ½ Egyptian) as long as its basic. I know lots of Dutch and Japanese & Chinese phrases. My family speaks Spanish intermittently with English and Latin. My uncle (my moms sisters husband) watches Spanish language novellas just like the Dad on Ugly Betty.
February 21, 200718 yr Cavs fans would be PISSED if we traded Andy. I would think that Sasha's done a good job of making himself marketable, but I don't know how interested the teams we want to trade with are going to be. He's young, though, and could be a solid starting shooting guard for a b-level team.
February 21, 200718 yr Maybe we can get Jason Kidd. I like him, but I don't know why. because he's a repeated wife beater?
February 21, 200718 yr Maybe we can get Jason Kidd. I like him, but I don't know why. because he's a repeated wife beater? I think I'd like him better IN a wife beater
February 22, 200718 yr Maybe we can get Jason Kidd. I like him, but I don't know why. because he's a repeated wife beater? Actually, his wife beat him.
February 22, 200718 yr Holy crap! That was amazing! We cannot trade him! Check out these rumors...we'll know it all by 3:00 today! Trade talk heats up as deadline nears Posted by Mike Conley February 22, 2007 09:40AM The clock is ticking and it appears the Cavaliers are in a sprint to land a point guard for the playoff run. It's no secret GM Danny Ferry has targeted the Kings' Mike Bibby as the apparent missing piece to the puzzle. He's reportedly been linked to the Cavs for over two weeks now. Will the deal get done? It depends on who budges first. More at www.cleveland.com
February 22, 200718 yr Gooden has been good for the Cavs. We can't give him up. We need a good big man (no jokes please!) However, is Mike Bibby overrated? If we do sign him, can they get him to an orthodontist FAST and write that in as a clause in his contract. Who goes if we get Bibbly? Andy...please no! Pollard? Pippen, I think this could be good for moral, as we don't have to trade anyone to get him.
February 22, 200718 yr Gooden had a great contract year last year, but has been just an average 4. I think Andy could step right into the power forward role. The problem is depth. Without Andy off the bench, you need Pollard at the 5 and now Marshall becomes your power forward which isn't really his cup of tea. Marshall is good at one thing...camping out on the wing and stretching the defense. He can't bang around inside for rebounds. All that said...we aren't going anywhere in the postseason without a point guard. I say pull the trigger. We need a guy who can hit clutch free throws down the stretch and protect the ball. Bibby can also do something Snow can't do...play offense! I also don't trust Booby Gibson in playoff crunchtime...yet.
February 22, 200718 yr Geez, I didn't realize how much Bibby's numbers had dropped this year. Not that he couldn't flourish in Cleveland, but he's not having one of his better seasons. February 22, 200718 yr thats why I think he's over rated or already past his prime...and his teeth bother me.
February 22, 200718 yr thats why I think he's over rated or already past his prime...and his teeth bother me. well I don't know many GMs that operate based on teeth quality, so hopefully Ferry makes a good decision either way.

February 25, 200718 yr boy i was all excited to see the cavs on tv this wkend and they just looked awful the last two games, vs da bulls and then the wade-less heat today. just ugly. well the d looked ok, but rushed shots, no o at all. ugh.
February 26, 200718 yr ^ I missed the entire game because my power (in Old Brooklyn) went out due to the wind and ice.
March 2, 200718 yr why do announcers continue to say "so and so from downtown" when attempting a 3 point shot? this made sense when teams played (or continue to play) in the suburbs, ala richfield coliseum. but when the arena is downtown, a 3 point shot is really from the suburbs. so, "lebron james from downtown" doesn't make any sense to me. lebron james from downtown should be a layup or a short jump shot, not a 3. what gives?

I actually thought about that a while ago too. From Solon!!! :-D Of course if they wanted to keep "downtown" in that quote they could always say it like "from downtown....Columbus", not sure if that would sound good though :|
March 6, 200718 yr after a few vodka drinks...I wanna pimp hand all of ya! (again, MTS...I love latinAs..but get no ideas!) lol except pope, he gets props, that detroit thing just scares the shit outta me! JDD with the comment from WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY downtown....good!!!

March 6, 200718 yr I thought Marv Albert was the one who "instituted" 'From downtown...' when calling 3 pointers. "Downtown" should be for slam dunks or blocked shots. 3-pointers should be from (insert geographical point of reference of your choice). But that would require media people to become Geographers. :-P

March 6, 200718 yr Come on MTS...the question should be..can they handle ME!!?!?!  :wtf:  8-) :whip: :-o :jo: :cool2: :fight: :-D
March 6, 200718 yr Anyone see Z trip up Yao Ming in the game last night? Funniest moment of the Cavs season so far.
March 7, 200718 yr Funny, scary, and the alley-oop that resulted was just freakin amazing! Fred McLeod likes to use the "right down Euclid Avenue" line when describing Lebron's drives to the bucket... a nice touch from an otherwise poopy announcer.

Fred McLeod likes to use the "right down Euclid Avenue" line when describing Lebron's drives to the bucket... a nice touch from an otherwise poopy announcer. Or he completely ripped it off of Detroit's Legendary Baseball Broadcaster, Ernie Harwell, who originated the phrase, "straight down woodward" (when referring to a pitch thrown) (Ernie also adapted the phrase for whichever city he was in, i.e. right down addison, broadway, euclid, etc) Remember McLeod spent the last years of his life in Detroit covering sports.

March 7, 200718 yr he's garbage...and AC and Scottie Williams aren't nearly as amusing as they were with Michael Reghi.

March 7, 200718 yr Can the cavs score more than 80 points tonight and can they win? The pistons have kept us under 80 points in head to head contests. Will Z & Larry show up with their "A" game?!
March 8, 200718 yr LeBron Carries Cavaliers Past Pistons in OT Cleveland 101, Detroit 97 (OT) AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 7 -- LeBron James scored a season-high 41 points, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 101-97 overtime victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. James almost won the game in regulation with a 27-footer, but a video review negated the dramatic shot. More at www.cleveland.com
March 8, 200718 yr ^^ That was another nice win. Since the All-Star break the Cavs have a quite a few quality wins: Detroit on the road, Houston at home with Yao, the thumping of Toronto. All this talk from the national media of LeBron half-assing it through the season has silenced pretty fast. Even though LBJ is playing alot better, the entire team is also stepping up. Hughes, while not amazing, is at least shooting around 50% lately, even Z has stopped being so timid/lazy under the basket. I can't say enough about Sasha's play over the last month either. If they keep playing like this, we'll get the #1 seed from Detroit. That's a big if with this team though. They streak and slump with the best of 'em.

Fred McLeod likes to use the "right down Euclid Avenue" line when describing Lebron's drives to the bucket... a nice touch from an otherwise poopy announcer. That alley-oop was freaking ridiculous. It reminded me of when Kenny Lofton used to play 3/4th of the outfield and would slide in front of Albert Belle and make the catch.
March 15, 200718 yr Seven in a row! If only Detroit could lose a few games and we could get some help from some spoiler teams.
March 15, 200718 yr yeah, what happened to this tough road trip they're on? Their road record is better than their home record! Still, we're doing what we've got to do...win!
March 15, 200718 yr Lebron looked great last night...the commentators on FSN were going absolutely crazy after he hit those three straight 3's.
March 27, 200718 yr I just heard a report on ESPN that Lebron James is building a house in Ohio that is in excess of 35,000 sq ft! The house will include such features as: -2 lane bowling alley -barber shop -casino and much more, but that is all I can remember right now. Is this home in Cleveland or just outside of Cleveland...do any of you Cleveland forumers know?
