The Land has been one of the nicknames for Cleveland since the mid-90s at least, specifically within the Black Community and within Hip-Hop culture. That along with C-Town, which more people may be fa

  • massive team effort & big win on espn vs okc tonight — awesome game and superb coaching and substitutions — anyway, i watched most of it out, but the end back at our dystopian atlanta hotel - 😂🎉

  • Great win! Six-and-one!! Great to see Garland and Mitchell together for a full game. Those two are going to be magical as they play together more.

11 wins to clinch the central division title... home court advantage is a whole nother story.

^I am stunned the way the Cs have held up so far without Garnett.  I also hate Mikki Moore, and hope they sign "Starbury."

This roadie is going to tell a whole ton about this team.  If we make it through this 4 games in 5 days stretch on the road against 4 playoff teams at 3-1 i would say the most difficult part of this season is over.  I know we all want home court, but someone has to slow the celtics down too.  i hate them

Man, that is a tough stretch.  Houston might be better w/o an on-again, off-again McGrady, Spurs are always tough, Hawks are athletic as hell, and the Heat gave the Cavs all they could handle in that back to back months ago.

3-1 would be great; I would disappointingly accept 2-2.

  • Houston's won 5 in a row and is pretty tough at home.  However, they are mistake prone.
  • The Spurs always get it together around this time of the year.  Also this is an "odd" year and they win championships in odd years.
  • The Hawks are "hot and cold" and havent really shown long range consistency.

I'll be happy with 2-2 and no injury's but prefer 4-0.  The cavs have got to win on the road to get back to the conference championships.

Look beyond the '4 road games in 5 nights' stretch. We've got 7 games over the next 10 days. We'll also be playing the Celtics the road during this stretch.

Or 11 losses by the second place team... whichever comes first.

By the way Detroit has been playing that should be ASAP.  Chicago may sneak up though, I like the trades they made and they have been playing better...They wont sneak up on us, but they may get the 7th or 8th seed.

I really like Tarrence Kinsey, where did this guy come from?  Its a shame he may be sitting on the bench all the time with our healthy squad (not a shame, but dude got game)

Cavs move ahead of Boston in the East after the Celtics loss tonight to the Clippers.... I am shocked the Clippers are horrible

wow....look at the clips stepping up big and manning up to help out the cavs....of course every time Boston loses and we we get two up on them in the loss column...then the cavs lose...bad karma for tonight

Lets send the Clippers a thank you card!  Now its up to the Cavs to get a "W" tonight!

Besides the ORL and IND, we got a lot of help from other teams as most of the EC teams lost last night.

Cavs you must execute and get me a W tonight!

and tomo night!

You guys see this from the Memphis game the other night?

Lebron James is my basketball Jesus...

I wish ESPN would update the damn rookie rankings.. Hickson's comment is still from December.. if you're gonna put something like that together, keep it up-to-date!

What the phuck happened?  That was probably their worst game in 5/6 years and Ben Broke his leg.  Get JJ in their now to get some experience!

That was the worst ive seen them play in that many years.  I expected us to lose and not score alot of points, but in such miserable fashion?  I think we will be OK without Ben.  andy can step in and keep up the D.  I hope we never have to face Yao again.  How does he not do that to every team?  He is taller tahn everyone and we haev the second tallest guy in the league and he made every turn around shot he took. Our shots were there they just werent falling, thatll happen, i look for them to rebound against SAS tonight, especially if Duncan isnt playing

We get pushed around by any team with a serious big man.  At this point the no-trade is seeming not so hot.  On the good side, here's JJ's opening.  He's suddenly a key piece.

Much better W for the Cavs.

That was a great win and the fourth quarter showed that the bench needs some experience so they can gel.

That Kinsey kid scares me.

Note to Cavs - Pissed On's did as a favor.  You must win in ATL tonight at all costs!

We must be get the No.1 seed.  We don't want to play Orlando in the second round.

the spurs game was not the least bit impressive. duncan and ginobli were out. i'll take the win, but that was a gimme.

otoh, on the road back-2-back wins vs. atlanta & miami? now that would be mighty impressive. hopefully will be.

that's too bad about big ben. man, more injuries. ugh.

I hear you but when fighting for home court advantage a "w" is a "w"!

Big Ben can be looked at as a plus.  Andy and JJ now must step up.  Andy needs to improve on offense and JJ needs more overall experience.

Boston beats Indiana at home barely and then loses to the pistons at home...Marbury bad news?

This should seal the deal for Ferry as Executive of the Year.  His patience has continually paid off.  No risk to the defensive or offensive end of the court with this move.  No risk to chemistry.  Joe coming back can do nothing but help our title hopes.

I think he starts until Ben comes back and then we can get back into that Z/Ben and AV/Smith rotational balance, affording Coach Brown the luxury of keeping one big man with range on the court at all times.

ATLANTA -- It appears the Cavaliers are going to get some quality big man help for the playoffs.

With just hours to spare before Sunday's midnight deadline, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Joe Smith reached terms on a buyout agreement. He will be put on waivers Monday morning and is expected to clear them 48 hours later. Several league sources said Smith is then expected to sign with the Cavs for the rest of the season.

How the hell did we win that game?  With 2 min and change on the clock I turn the channel, we were down by 4.

The cavs certain looked a mess in the third quarter.

The Hawks could be a team to watch in two years.  They are not afraid to ball.

Boston beats Indiana at home barely and then loses to the pistons at home...Marbury bad news?

Marbury played 12 minutes and took 3 shots.. I hardly think he's to blame for the loss verse Detroit..

b) I'm happy with this non-trade if we could get a guy like Joe Smith via buyout.

I should be Ferry's assistant GM.. wouldn't you know, we're getting Joe Smith..

So we traded Damon Jones and half a season of Joe Smith for Mo Williams.

I'm dead serious when I say this, but you should think about a career in sports management.

I am so glad that we will be picking up a quality big man. This is our biggest weakness. Additionally, the guy knows the system and plays with a team-first mentality.

Ideally I'd like to work in finance for a pro team.  But those jobs are few and far between, so you have to build up a great resume or have an inside contact.. neither of which I have at this point.

3-1 road trip.. not too bad, except for losing Wallace.

Big freaking W tonight!!!!!!!  3 out of 4 on the road, I'll take it.  Bucks on weds then Heat and Celts this weekend.

team of destiny.  nice road trip

^Im not blaming Marbury for their loss...but they havent played well with him in two games.  I'll call it Iverson syndrome...he doesnt play bad but disrupts the team.

Starbury hasn't played enough to be calculated as a plus or minus factor.

Just saw the game hi-lights.  What a game!  LeBron and Williams came up big in the win.  Wade also played great for the Heat in the loss.

at Houston

At San Antonio

At Atlanta

At Miami

That is a very impressive stretch.

yeah, am i ever glad we're getting our old big man back. talk about good fortune & timing with that pickup!

those back to back wins were enormously impressive.

even tho i have issues with the game swinging back and forth so much, and i only saw part of the game, gotta say lebron vs wade was a hell of a lot of fun to watch. it lived up to the hype and then some.

We knew that was coming since Sunday :)

Another easy win by the Cavs tonight, 91-73 over the Bucks..

First team in the NBA to clinch a playoff birth.. 27-1 home record this season..

^ Is that Brian Windhorst?

BIG GAME tonight...lets place a death blow on these suckers...A 3 game lead in the loss column is HUUUUGE over Boston, it hasnt been that big all year and probably could separate us for the season, assuming we will each lose a few more games

What a ridiculous game yesterday.  Quarters 1-3, the Cavs played like they were still based in Richfield.  The fourth Quarter they played like the team we've come to know.

I don't know what is up with this hot & cold play as of lately, but the Cavs look really vulnerable.

Great comeback win on the road, on the west coast.  However, they need to be manhandling teams like the Clippers, regardless, still a good win and shows the makeup of this team.  Even down 17 at the start of the 4th, they still battled back.

The Clippers are a LOT better than there record indicates.  They just got Kaman back from injury.  Baron Davis is starting to get settled in.  Eric Gordon is one of the best rookies and improving every game.  They just beat Boston last week.  Just saying that steamrolling the clips on the road would be nice, but our failure to do so does not make us vulnerable.

These types of wins are more valuable than blowouts.  It teaches the team how to keep their chin up and the chest out dealing with adversity.  Perhaps our worst shooting performance of the season and we still won.  I was more than happy to sacrafice an hour or two of sleep to witness that comeback.

Our defense looked horrible the first three quarters.  No cohesion.  BD was scoring at will.

Great teams find a way to win games when they don't have their "A game."

I can't believe I wasted nearly two hours of my life watching that game last night. But I should've watched the full two hours. I couldn't believe when I saw my Internet home page this morning that the Cavs won that game!
