I still dont think Lebron would leave if we lose this series.  He is happy here, and now his marketing expands to China.  He would be dumb to go anywhere else.  If he leaves this town without a title, he will be seen as a failure who couldnt lead his team to a title  in 7 years.  he doesnt want that title.

Not to mention the fact that the Knicks aren't championship material currently while the Cavs are....

Pumpkin, do we look and have we played like championship material?

Moreso than the Knicks!

LMAO!  Hush now.

I hate my assistants,  anyone need two assistants?  Warning they are like two wild pitbulls, funky attitudes and no sense of humor!

I just open the door, because i hear, "llame una ambulancia" and on the floor is one assistant and the other over him performing CPR.  The one on the floor "coughs" up a cavs headband! I hate them.

And I have no NY sports ammunition to fight back!

  • massive team effort & big win on espn vs okc tonight — awesome game and superb coaching and substitutions — anyway, i watched most of it out, but the end back at our dystopian atlanta hotel - 😂🎉

  • Great win! Six-and-one!! Great to see Garland and Mitchell together for a full game. Those two are going to be magical as they play together more.

It means absolutely nothing what you did the previous season in the NBA. Look at Boston Celtics 2 years ago, they had one of the worst records in the league, they add garnett and allen in the offseason, and all of a sudden they win a championship the following campaign.

Lebron isnt leaving, hes northeast ohio born and has his family here.

I think I would still laugh if someone did that to me, even if I was pissed.

They can laugh now.  I'm just going to turn into Miranda Priestly for the remainder of the day.  It's going to rain...I think I need something from downtown.  Looks like somebody is going to have to run errands.  And that someone better not come back to the office without everything on this list!

I feel like review performance recaps on our programs and theatrical releases.  Good time to be had by bitchy MTS!

Better not choke on anything in that office if that's how the employees treat a choking victim. Lying on the floor? Scary.

I think they staged it that way so I couldn't see the head band and so that the folks outside of our office could hear and see.  I work with an office full of smart@sses!

Smartasses? I think you're giving them WAAAAY too much credit.

If you get a chance, read Brian Windhort's postgame blog. He lays out some very interesting stats about the series. Right now, the Magic are playing the best they could possibly play. Last night, they went 18 of 37 from beyond the arc. The first two games, they shot over 45% from beyond the arc. The Cavs have run into a team that is built to beat them. The Magic create some many match-up problems from the Cavs, on top of that, they're shooting 50% from the field. Think about it, Alston and Pietrus went 11 of 23 from three last night. How can you win?

And in true Cleveland fashion the Magic will get cold and shot 30% for the threes in the finals and get swept by Denver (or possibly the Lakers). Salt in the wound at it's finest.

^Exactly...I was going to say that, but I'm hoping they go cold tomorrow.

The weird thing about the playoffs is Orlando had played inconsistently until this series.  When will the other shoe drop?  They cannot play at this level for much longer.

^I will bet that inconsistency shows up again during the next game.  Though we are down 3-1, I still think the Cavs can pull this off.

lets hope, as both teams are showing signs of being tired.

And Mr. Williams, you better make good on your guarantee.  You're cute and all, but that will only get you so far!

What are the chances of Howard playing in Game 6? I think the 7 T-foul rule is dumb but if it works to our advantage I am all for it. He can't seem to help himself.

Edit: I just saw that number 6 was rescinded by the NBA.Crap!

After watching last night's game, I am confident we can win this series.  I will go ahead and guarantee a win in Game 5.  The real test will come in Game 6... but if we can pull that one off there is no way LBJ will lose Game 7 at home.

Those of you who think I am just being a homer should know that I picked the Magic to win this series before it even started.  If you would have told me Orlando was going to shoot like this, I would have predicted a sweep.  The Cavs have actually hung in there with a smoking hot team.

Last night was Orlando's best punch and we still could have won if a few bounces went our way.

The biggest BS to me last night is not even being talked about.  When Rashard Lewis popped out for that 3 at the end of regulation, Dwight Howard SET A MOVING SCREEN on Big Ben.  No doubt about it.  It was so obvious and blatant.  Complete BS.

^I like the positive attitude. Remember the 2007 Cavs against the Pistons? How about last year? Lebron doesn't seem like the type of player that's going to rollover. I'm trying something new. Rather than using the "woe is me" Cleveland approach, I'm going to be positive until the series is over. Go Cavs!

My feelings exactly Hts.  You arent being a homer.  I actually feel better today than i did yesterday because i saw the fire that existed.  Lebron is backed into a corner, and he gets nasty when that happens.  I expect a big win tomorrow out of anger.  The series will come down to Saturday night in orlando.

Also, thats the first thing i said to my girlfriend when lewis hit that shot...Howard moved to pick big ben. If Lebron isnt panicking, then why should we panic?

LeBron...LeBron...LeBron!  There is no "LeBron" in TEAM!

This is a team sport!

I must have been spelling telebronam wrong?

Have there been any less than flattering remarks made about the actual city of Orlando?  I noticed the few comments made about Cleveland but i'm probably not as sensitive to Orlando cracks.

Actually, I sent a text message to one of my friends right after that play...finding in my phone..."no moving screen by howard? wow", May 26, 11:15 pm.

It sure seemed like the refs thought twice about calling a 6th foul on Howard in a few instances.  How about in OT when they called a foul on Rashard Lewis when it easily could have been on Howard (when Lebron drove the middle of the lane)?

mo williams -- we hope to hear from you in the second half this time.

CC Sabathia, LeBron James and the naming of the Cleveland Cavaliers

by Marc Carig/The Star-Ledger

Thursday May 28, 2009, 9:07 AM

ARLINGTON, Texas -- CC Sabathia remembers clearly the sight that sent all of Cleveland into a frenzy in October 2007.  That's when his pal, LeBron James, came to the Indians' American League Division Series game wearing a Yankees cap.  Which is why Sabathia, who was pitching for the Indians against the Yankees that night, joked that he might show up at QuickenLoans Arena on Thursday night wearing an Orlando Magic cap, the team that James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will oppose in Game 5 of the NBA's Eastern Conference finals.

Sabathia, who has long been a huge NBA fan, bought two luxury suites for the contest. He plans on taking more than a dozen teammates to the playoff game, which falls on the Yankees' day off.  "I just like the NBA," said Sabathia, who grew up a fan of the Golden State Warriors (that makes two of us).  "Whatever city I'm in, if they have a team, I'm going to show up and watch.  I watch a lot of Cavs games.  I obviously go to a lot of Warriors games, Magic games (in spring training).  It's going to be fun tomorrow night."

They showed all the celebs in the audience, and I was really impressed! Ben Roethlisburger (sp?), Brady Quinn, A-Rod, CC Sabathia, Jay Z, and more.  Probably has more to do with the Yankees being in town, but impressive none the less- almost like a mini Lakers game!

that shows that lebron doesnt need to go to NY, because they will come here....we live another night...i dont like the feel for game 6 but we will see

Mo and Z woke up!

Lebron and Delonte have been the only consistent people playing.

In every game, we've had at least a 20 Point game.  and the magic have come back.

The Cavs are up against a brick wall with a gun to their heads.

They must win or we'll see "gone fishin'" on the doors of the Q.

Great Game! I drank a whole bottle of Jameson. works gonna suck tomorrow

Good news: Cavs won.

Bad news: THEY. SHOWED. THAT. MIKE. POLK. PIECE OF GARBAGE VIDEO on the post-game show again!!!

WHAT THE EFF?!?!?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

I was freakin out when that 22 point lead slipped...... ugh.. Y must they continually do that crap...

The Cavs have really shown that they are truely a one man team this series so far.  At the end when Lebron was in take over mode, every other player stood around the perimeter with absolutely 0 movement.  No screens, no post ups, nothing except sitting back and hoping Lebron would win.  Offensive rebounding MUST improve, and they need to at least act like they aren't afraid of Dwight Howard, and start throwing the ball down to Z and Ben Wallace.  If they at least keep the Magic's big guys honest by occasionally threatenin, it would do wonders to free up outside shots or even those mid range jumpers around the free throw line.  I really hope the Cavs can pull this off, but honestly I don't think they deserve it the way they're playing.

edale I am sick of hearing the same old crap out of people like you. Yeah so what leBron is amazing, are you trying to tell us something we don't already know? Kobe and others do pretty much the same for their teams and it's ok, that's what we should expect?! I want and expect LeBron to go into "Take Over Mode"!! What do you think he is paid a freaking gazillion dollars each year for? My God, would you be more comfortable if he was making 20 points per game and skipping off court without a sweat? Crimminey get over your same old Cleveland "let's play into the jinx of we allways lose everything because we suck but let's hope for the best" type of thinking and just believe that he is a player that can do the unthinkable with a talented supporting cast and just go for it!!

I guess Delonte taking it to the hole and being aggressive accounts for nothing.

Lebron should have had a hand in every play because it was working. He scored 17 of the 32 in that stretch, but other guys were still scoring. I would have a problem if he was always trying to score every play, but he balanced it out well. He scored when he had the opportunity and gave the ball up when others had a good shot. And it worked out well. They were right to stick with it while it was working, regardless of what Kenny and Charles think.

Its time to put everything behind us.  Its not three in a row, its not two in a row...its just tomorrow night for now.  Who cares about Monday, we will worry about that another time.  Its just one game for now and hopefully Lebron has an epic performance like game 5 of 2007 in him.

Lebron....LeBron...LeBron!

Stop that already!  The ENTIRE TEAM needs to rise above the occasion and execute!

Really!  The last 5 minutes of the game there were 20,566 watching LBJ carry the entire Cavalier offense.

A win is a win... :|

I will agree a W is a W, but it's not about LeBron as they showed last night, everyone has to get into the mix.

Lebron...either scored or assisted almost all those 32 points....it was very obvious that just aobut everyone of those points was a direct impact from LBJ taking over.

Man, I am soo hungover this morning.  Started drinking early and keep drinking in celebration after the game..  Still got my morning run in though!

Lebron...either scored or assisted almost all those 32 points....it was very obvious that just aobut everyone of those points was a direct impact from LBJ taking over.

He scored 17 and assisted on all of the other 15.  Yes, he took over, but in a good way.  I'd be more worried if he scored all 32 of those points, especially if he was relying on his (streaky) outside shooting to score a good portion of them.  There's nothing wrong with a player "taking over" as long as they are distributing the ball as well as scoring.  That's what a superstar should do.

I think Kstay2 and Jam would make an excellent broadcast team!  LOL

Hook us up! :)

Hook us up! :)

I'm sending you both butter cream analyst jackets Ala Monday Night football in the 70's!

Superb job by Lebron.  They MUST play like this for the next two games.  The whole team was involved in this win... yes LeBron was the major factor but that is his role.  The team was built around him and this is the way they will succeed in this series.

Regardless of the outcome of the game, the one play that had me absolutely dumbfounded and pissed off at the rules of the NBA was this: Cavs player gets a clean block/strip of the ball from a magic player going up for a basket, cavs quickly run the other way with it and Mo Williams hits a 3 pointer and the building is absolutely rocking with the made shot. Whoa whoa whoa slow down though, the basket apparently doesnt count due to stan van gundy running on the floor with his arms up in the air screaming bloody murder. He gets a technical, cavs make the free throw but miss the shot on the ensuing possesion, magic go down and score a basket making it a 4 point swing in the end. Van Gundy should have been tossed for being on the floor, cavs basket should have counted since his being on the floor had nothing to do with the play at the other end, and still awarded the technical free throw.

Yep. I was wondering this before last night's game: "How many games do the Cavs have to win in a row? One."

Same deal tomorrow.
