  • massive team effort & big win on espn vs okc tonight — awesome game and superb coaching and substitutions — anyway, i watched most of it out, but the end back at our dystopian atlanta hotel - 😂🎉

  • Great win! Six-and-one!! Great to see Garland and Mitchell together for a full game. Those two are going to be magical as they play together more.

If LeBron wants to pick up a few points with the older school fans, he should ask for his #23 back.

There's no reason why the Cavaliers should have that number "retired" in honor of a rival player who was routinely allowed to break basic rules of the game.  Even if LeBron is personally a fan of his....

There is zero chance the Cavs include Wiggins in a deal for Kevin Love, unless it involves a contract extension. No team in their right mind would deal a #1 overall pick for a 1 year rental on a player that gets good numbers on a bad team and has a history of injury problems. Besides that, Minnesota has no leverage considering Love is gone after this season. He'll be dealt closer to the trade deadline, if at all.

Dan Gilbert just tweeted out how excited he is to see Wiggins play in a Cavs uni on Friday.  Once Lebron is officially back, Minny loses all leverage.  They will have to take the deal we offer them as long as it trumps whatever else is on the table.  In the history of disgruntled NBA stars, never has a prospect like Wiggins been included in the deal.... at least not that I can remember.

LeBron will wear #32 when he comes back

And just so everyone is prepared, there will be an opt-out after two years in the contract.  The reason is simple.  The NBA is going to negotiate a new TV deal in that timeframe and the salary cap and the max contract amount are both likely to be increased significantly.

I don't care if he wears #23 or not, but it would be a travesty if the Cavaliers retired Jordan's number.

Wow Hts!  You sound like you're all cards in on getting him back.  Part of me says yes, part no, but reasoning is too long to type right now.

I'm all in.  Bolstered by two independent sources both saying it is a done deal, one of whom works closely with the man (or at least did when he was with the Cavs and whenever he is back home), and the other who I don't know personally but has usually had very good info ahead of time.  The former, I actually don't care for that much on a personal level, so it could be a win-win for me if Lebron doesn't come back and I get to take him down a peg ;)

Supposedly the entire league did.  They should have legalized travelling if they intended to do that.

Rizzo says it's all going down around 7 p.m. tonight.

From his Twitter account: "And just like that. Latest has Bron making announcement round 7p TONIGHT!!!'#CavsGoodKarma"

I hate it when I'm wrong, but I still think the family is moving to be closer to both their families.

My spiders have informed me of the following:

- House put on market in March for 12 million

- Moving trucks have been circling the area and parked in various places to throw off the press. (Stupid considering the area is full of one-way streets)

- The loaded up a car yesterday and one this morning.

The Miami home. Supposedly his sports cars have been loaded up onto a truck to be taken somewhere.

I don't buy any of it. I think it's all a leverage play. Including the agent asking the Cavs to clear cap space.  The guy is a Lebron lackey. He's not part of an agency that has to care about other players. He can care about just Lebron and be set for life.

I have to say that while I'm a Cavs fan and LeBron would make them better, the city does not need him like once was thought.  The national media made it seem as the local economy would fail without LeBron.  That never happened...in fact the 4th street area thrived.  The GOP convention is confirmation that Cleveland is bigger than one person.  That being said, LeBron's return will add to the momentum.

Apparently he always moves his cars. No secret that he'd be in Akron this summer. And Rich Paul reps T Thompson.

"The Waiting" is indeed the hardest part..

The Browns have told Lebron to wrap it up by Training Camp.

I actually heard a rumor, that I don't really believe, that he wants a contract that would let him try the NFL.

And then Usher posts this on instagram. Remember - usher is part owner of the cavs

Would you rather build a snowman?

it is WAY too quiet today!  Nothing out of Windhorst, Woj, Broussard or any other NBA writer I follow.

^NO kidding! kind of eerie.  Sheridan not backing down.  Really interested to know who his source is.  I kid of had the impression that the Lebron camp cut off Broussard, Windy, Woj this time around, listening to them talk, none of them have much.

Sheridan has his whole reputation at stake here.

Here's my take on Sheridan - he used to be with ESPN, right?  How long has he had his own site?  If it's very new, isn't possible he's saying all this to drive people to his new site?  I didn't even know about it until this week?  Of course, if he's wrong he loses some credibility but think of all of the new eyes on his site now.  And he can always backtrack and just say, "well I didn't say 100%, I only said 90%"  or "at the time it I was sure, but Lebron changed his mind."

Correct, his site is new. And I'll admit, just like a bunch of other suckers, I went to it today.  I do think that is his play.  A year from now, most people will forget what he predicted, but they will know he has a site.

I will say however, his interview on WKNR this morning was pretty believable.

Oh no. An owl at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo just predicted that LeBron is choosing Miami.

It's a sad, sad day for the Zoo, and for all of NE Ohio.

Sheridan also gave Miami a 90% chance back in 2010 when nobody else thought it was realistic.  Take that FWIW.  And Sheridan went up to 100% last night.  My info is completely independent from Sheridan, so he is nothing but confirmation.  Stephen A. Smith, the first one to break that Miami would get all 3 in 2010, also said Cleveland this morning.

The announcement should be either today or tomorrow.  Dustin Fox guesses 3:30pm....... which makes a lot of sense for purposes of symbolism.  Bath Twp. police have been instructed to step up security in the neighborhood 'to keep traffic flowing'

I saw that about the police patrols being notified.  I initially took that due to possible vandalism.  Alot went down on his street in 2010.  That was the first bit of information I saw today that actually took my optimism down a notch.

Let.  It.  Go.

You mad?  Of your last 12 posts, 5 of them have been on this thread attempting to bait Cavaliers fans.  Maybe you need to "let it go"?

^No kidding.  As a huge Cleveland sports fan, this is a big day, and yes, we are drowning in it all.  Not only Cleveland, but in the NBA world.  Look what Bosh and Anthony and Miller and Love are doing, along with the rest of the free agents.  Waiting on one mans move.  This truly is real business entertainment that we are able to follow.

^^^the Akron media is reporting that the police might have been tipped that the news would be 'good'

My stomach is in knots. So anxious.

Hopefully for us the announcement comes at 3:30

Hey @KingJames - come back to the @cavs and we'll rename one of our coasters, "King James!" Ball in your court, sir. RT, #Ohio!

If LeBron chose to stay in Miami or go to NYC, what are you folks going to do?

I don't want to have to talk you all down off of your ledges!

Will this be Cleveland if LeBron disses us a 2nd time?

Cleveland is enjoying the decision this time around because we see Miami in the hotseat and with nervous fear. I think most CAVS fans know that it is a chance he goes back to Miami and it is business as we've known it. We Cavs fans know that he has made no promises, isn't currently playing for us and has no true obligation; we would love for him to make it all right, but I think we simply enjoy that he is putting Miami through what we went through, since they were so smug and pompous the first go round.

NEW YORK CITY?! (cue 1990s Pace Picante commercial)

He's not going to New York.  :wtf:

It certainly has been exciting.  I told myself that I wouldn't get swept up into the craze.... But here I am refreshing my browser every 10 minutes.  Even if he chooses not to come back, I still think it's great to see an athlete so in control of his own destiny, holding owners and execs in the balance.  I really would like to see him back in a Cleveland jersey!
