July 8, 20168 yr ^Yes. A solid pro who should give us quality minutes whenever inserted. I suppose you were holding out for the Russell Westbrook trade? Purely a fancy, but I was thinking: what if OKC is terrified about losing Westbrook? Maybe they would like to trade his last year for an all-star who is under contract for the next 4 years? How bout a 1-3 of Westbrook, Kyrie, Lebron? Prolly doesn't make sense but...
July 8, 20168 yr I wouldn't be surprised at all if Westbrook is moved, but OKC will want more than Love. LAL would probably offer them D Russell and Ingram
July 9, 20168 yr Consistently generating a 15+ PER even in his advancing age. I'll take it. Not sure just how much he'll play, but if he sees some time on the court against Golden State, I like the toughness he'll bring.
July 9, 20168 yr ^^Another good move by Griffin. I like the Birdman. Tough big man who played well with LeBron in Miami.

July 19, 20168 yr Was interviewing someone for a story at Starbucks in Independence this morning and Birdman came in. I had no idea who he was since I don't follow sports at all but the guy I was interviewing was like, OMFG isn't that Birdman and I'm like huh? So I googled him and he was like omg it is it is so I made him go over and get a selfie taken with him. He said he was coming to cleveland to be "LeBron's bad boy" and was very nice, taking pictures with the few people who recognized him and asked. He was with a slick-looking agent type. So there you go, I got my star sighting during RNC week and it wasn't even a politician.
July 19, 20168 yr With the money that has been handed out this summer, that demand is far from outrageous. For comparison's sake, Luol Deng (31) will make $18mill next season..... Aaron Afflalo (30) and Eric Gordon (28) will each make $12.5mill.... and Jared Dudley (30) will make $10.5mill. JR is basically looking for Manu Ginobili money and, at this point in their respective careers, it is hard to argue that he shouldn't get it.
July 19, 20168 yr ^JR was a key factor in the playoffs, especially the Finals after he/the team, settled down and started playing their games. It would be difficult to acquire someone with, not only JR's skill-set on offense and defense at this point, but also someone with these plus championship experience: that confidence and swagger... pay the man.

October 1, 20168 yr With Cavs training camp starting up for defending the NBA title let's look back.... If you're ever feeling bummed out, watch this 15-minute compilation of reactions to Cleveland winning its first major sports championship in 52 years. It's one of the best videos ever! From a minority of fans at The Oracle in Oakland, to 10s of thousands of fans erupting inside Quicken Loans Arena or on East 4th Street, to the man at home hugging his dog in front of his TV, it's a great way for a city come together in a moment of pure joy. It will bring tears to your eyes. BTW it's NSFW or for kids.... "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

October 5, 20168 yr That's a joke. Fredette doesn't fill the JR smith void. And I imagine would incense the rest of the team. Also, this sketchy site wouldn't have the scoop, vardon or Jason Lloyd would

October 26, 20168 yr Great start to the season, on a night when rings were passed out and the championship banner hung, by whoopin' the Knicks by 29 points. Kyrie was dominant in the third quarter. LeBron looks a bit heavier to start this season than the last two, but hasn't lost a step. He seemed very 'bouncy', throwing down monster dunks and swatting shots. K Love was very aggressive and assertive, although his shot was a little off to begin the game. For icing on the cake, the Warriors got pounded on their home court by SAS, losing by the same margin - 29.
October 26, 20168 yr ^i believe the warriors will not be dominant like they were last year. Last year, they were essentially the perfect team. Deep, selfless, tough. They lost all of that and now have no defense. They are some turmoil away from draymond being a problem Too. I've learned in the NBA that you can't win on paper,And if you do, it doesn't happen overnight
October 26, 20168 yr I think the Warriors are really going to miss Bogut. Although he was not part of that "death lineup", he was a key component of their defense. His absence was key to us winning the finals as it opened the driving lanes for LeBron and Kyrie. The Cavs are now deeper than the Warriors, who are more top heavy. We still need to figure out the backup PG, but everything other part of the puzzle seems to fit. I don't expect Dunleavy to score much for us, but his length and basketball IQ allow us to use him in so many different ways. TT has really embraced his role at C. LeBron looks (or at least looked last night) like he is aging in reverse. I only see one accomplishment left for him, which is to average a triple double. I doubt it will happen, but if he goes for it, look for Kyrie and KLove's scoring to go up. LeBron might actually finish third on the team in PPG.
October 26, 20168 yr I said when Bogut got hurt in the finals that it would be a huge factor. Looking back, I agree his injury was the biggest reason why the Cavs were able to come back in that series. Draymond Green's one-game suspension may have opened the door, but the Warriors had two opportunities to close that door and couldn't. Harrison Barnes' disappearing act was a factor. But nothing compared to the loss of the 7-foot Bogut as a lane defender and rim protector. I'm sure the Warriors will score a lot of points and win a lot of games, but as the Cavs showed in the finals and the Spurs showed last night that the Warriors are vulnerable to plays and passes in the paint. They're not that bad :|. (Don't expect the Whitney Houston version though, which, quite frankly, I thought was a little over-the-top anyway--lol) http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
November 26, 20168 yr Cavs score 265 points in the last TWO games. Wow. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
November 26, 20168 yr In the last 2 games, we faced Portland, with one of the worst D's in the League and the Mavs, declining anyway and now banged up, who are currently the worst team in the NBA. Still the Cavs combination of depth, weapons and some quality D, added to a championship swag and comfort level, make the Cavs THE BEAST in the NBA right now. We're not just beating teams, we're doing it effortlessly -- yes, we've had an easy schedule and even the tougher teams we've faced, have had key guys out (Toronto: Carroll, Detroit: Reggie Jackson), but we still are impressive in dispatching these guys. As usual, of course, the elite comp for us still lies west of the Mississippi and the Clippers next week will be an interesting test. Still, at the moment, I like the Cavs in a playoff series against everybody; including the KD/Curry-hyped Warriors.
November 26, 20168 yr The parity in the NBA is at a low point. There are for teams -- Cavs, GSW, LAC, SAS -- and then everyone else
November 26, 20168 yr Maybe Kevin and LeBron can do a Deion Sanders and play multiple sports..... http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/11/lebron-signals-touchdown-kevin-love-cavaliers-dunk
November 26, 20168 yr Lack of parity is definitely a concern, although I'm impressed with the high level of talent across the league. I just got League Pass this season and have been watching a lot of Rockets, Thunder, Raptors and they all have tons of talent. Even teams like New Orleans, Sacramento, and Portland with only one real superstar are still fun to watch. I don't know that there have ever been this many top-tier players in the league.
November 26, 20168 yr Maybe Kevin and LeBron can do a Deion Sanders and play multiple sports..... http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/11/lebron-signals-touchdown-kevin-love-cavaliers-dunk That was awesome. Thanks for posting.

December 1, 20168 yr The Cleveland Cavaliers are bored. That’s probably because the East stinks in comparison. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2016/12/01/the-cleveland-cavaliers-are-bored-thats-probably-because-the-east-stinks-in-comparison/?utm_term=.66bae3db99ca&tid=sm_tw "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
December 2, 20168 yr Cavs have had 3 straight low-energy performances and been blown out 2 straight games, in Milwaukee against a young .500.team. That wide open Austin Rivers 3 late in the 3rd caused me to reach for my remote.. It hasn't been on one guy, but JR Smith seems like he's on another planet. The ugly, bad boy JR we all feared has unfortunately emergerd. Let's hope that JR's stay is short lived.
December 2, 20168 yr Don't stress out too much about it. They r bored in regular season as they always are. Bored with their jobs. They know their fate is a spot in the ECF. Would you do as well at your job if you know know matter what success was guaranteed down the line?
December 2, 20168 yr Yeah. No real reason to be concerned. They went through much worse ruts the past two seasons. As for JR, that's the price you pay for him and the reason he never developed into more than he is. He always had all of the talent and ability to be an all-star, but never reached that level. He runs extremely hot and cold in all aspects of his game and life. What you hope is that he is hot at the right time. As for his effort, it will be there when it counts.
December 2, 20168 yr Cavs are playing 3 games in 4 nights, with the second of a home-road back-to-back in Chicago tonight. Normally I might expect Lue to rest LeBron as he did a few weeks ago, but given the LeBron-Wade reunion and the national TV audience, No. 23 will likely play. Plus given our poor performance in recent games, I doubt LeBron would go for sitting tonight; he's way too competitive. I look for him and the team to come out with a vengeance tonight.
December 2, 20168 yr NBA Rumor Central: Cedi Osman to join Cavs next season? http://www.espn.com/blog/nba/rumors/post/_/id/40292/nba-rumor-central-cedi-osman-to-join-cavs-next-season
December 2, 20168 yr Cedi has been getting rave reviews for his play in turkey. Like he continues to progress towards a very high (all star) ceiling. They should get him here and part of the cavs family asap. He will be a big piece to continued success once the lebron era is over. Looking way ahead (past 2020), I don't suspect Love will be here for another contract, but would like to see kyrie, Tristan and cedi be the faces of the organization and be Cavs for life. Hoping kyrie and Tristan never hit the FA market. My wildest dreams would be lebron James Jr wanting to play in cleveland and go for a lot of dads franchise records ?
December 2, 20168 yr ^^That was always the target year for him to join the Cavs. ^^I'm not so high on him. I don't expect him to be a very good NBA player. Back of the rotation, if anything, would be my guess.
