  • massive team effort & big win on espn vs okc tonight — awesome game and superb coaching and substitutions — anyway, i watched most of it out, but the end back at our dystopian atlanta hotel - 😂🎉

  • Great win! Six-and-one!! Great to see Garland and Mitchell together for a full game. Those two are going to be magical as they play together more.

Like I've been saying, the Golden State super team is just too good.

You never miss an opportunity to gloat.  Wait until the series is over, kid.

Not gloating, just thought Cavs fans were setting themselves up.  This Warriors team is just on another level.

No, they're not on another level....  The Cavs are just playing like crap.

Lol ok.  15-0 suggests otherwise.

What did the warriors do to force K.Love to go 1-9 from the field?  Most of his misses weren't even contested.  Too many empty possessions and mental breakdowns are why the Cavs are sitting at 0-3 and not 1-2.

^ I think the Cavs were exhausted by the end of the game because of the need to play at a nearly perfect level until then.

Watch the last two minutes again, both teams were exhausted.  Durant hit a shot and Kyrie missed.  Ballgame.

^ No offense man...but you have to take off your blinders.  I'm a huge Cavs fan but the Warriors are unstoppable.

The Cavs are playing like crap because the Warriors are certainly on another level.  Do you watch whats going on in the games?  Have you played basketball?  Watch them defensively...they close the cavs passing windows in split seconds...leaving the cavs with Lebron and Kyrie having to go isolation.  Lebron and Kyrie did AWESOME last night but thats not a sustainable model.  Meanwhile, the warriors are so fast and pass so much the cavs cant do anything about it.  They also dont miss shots.  This warriors team would beat any of Kobes teams, Mikes teams, etc.  Because they are almost unguardable and 3 points are worth more than 2.  And they play amazing defense.  This isnt a "cavs playing like crap"thing...the warriors have taken away everything that the Cavs want to do

Kevin Durant went down in game 1?

It's ok to admit the Warriors are just better.  Everyone else sees it.

I hold Lebron accountable for the collapse in the last minute of the game. He was in the paint and could have either gotten a dunk or drawn a foul, but he kicked the ball out to Korver for a 3. The "King" has to take charge in that situation. He passed up a few open looks to try to get Love and others involved. But worse than that, he was in his heals a few feet behind the 3 line when Durant was coming down the court. KD is a lethal 3 point shooter, and you simply HAVE to be on him as soon as he crosses half court in that situation.

That said, the Cavs really played great for most of the game, especially in the 3rd quarter. The collapse at the end was crushing, but I do think Golden State is just a juggernaut that is too strong for anyone this year. Think about it- this is a team that came damn close to winning back to back championships the past two years, and now added one of the top 5 players in the country to that team. That's crazy.

Valiant effort from the Cavs, but GS is too much.

^ yeah the last two minutes were bad.  Lebron is always trying to make the right basketball play and passing to one of the leagues best three point shooters should be the right play, but korver has looked pedestrian and you are right, Lebron needs to take that shot.  The one caveat is lebron and kyrie looked exhausted by the end of that.  They looked like they had cement blocks on their feet...the effort was impressive...but again not much you can do against the warriors

Where did I say the Cavs are better?  The warriors are definitely a great team, but they're not a "different level" great.  That's ESPN/media BS that average sports nerds eat up.

No team has gone 15-0 to start a playoffs.  That is, by definition, on another level.

Hahahaha stick to that defense then.  History doesn't give a ****.  Remember when the Warriors lost their starting center in the Finals last year and thus put an asterisk on the Cavs' title?  Oh wait.

Not sure your point here but the Cavs didn't have Kevin Love for the 2015 Finals and Irving only played in the first two games.

Average trolls have average memories.

Is it really trolling to say the Warriors are next level good? The Cavs and Warriors (when both at full health) were basically equal in strength before the Warriors added KD. Adding a top 3/5 player to an already great team = next level.

Wow, what a roller coaster last night. It's upsetting that GS could be the second coming of Jordan era Bulls even when we have the best player. This feeling sucks more than I thought it would.

I'm starting to believe that someone broke the Cleveland curse with a monkey's paw.

You're proving my point.  No one cares about injuries.  I was being sarcastic.

"Oh, the 15-0 (soon to be 16-0) playoff record by the Warriors is tainted because Leonard sprained his ankle in Game 1."  Injuries happen all the time in sports.  Get over it.

Like I said, literally everyone else outside of a few Cleveland fans are acknowledging this Warriors team is one of the greatest teams of all-time.  Not sure why some Cavs fans are clinging to this notion they're on the same level as them.  They're not.  They just got 38 and 39 point performances from Kyrie and LeBron and still lost.

The only thing that counts is who wins the Championship.  Going 15-0 doesn't mean s*** yet, just like their 73 regular season wins didn't mean s*** last year.  I'm sure you falsely predicted the warriors would win it all last year based on a meaningless record.  Vegas loves people like you.  Wait until the series is over to crown them the 2nd coming, that's all I'm saying.

I've played enough hoops to know that giving up 113pts to a team that missed a TON of open shots, is the exact opposite of amazing defense.

^Thats why they are so good.  They can take a teams best shot and still come out victorious.  Kyrie had to make moves that literally nobody else in the NBA can and finish in unbelievable fashion because the defense was so good. Klay got the better of him in games 1 and 2 and Kyrie prevailed last night....but Klay still defended a tired Kyrie perfectly on that last 3.  Ive felt the whole series, Kyrie was way too comfortable going iso on Klay.  Even the christmas day shot Kyrie made was very well defended.  Not sure why they insist on forcing that.  The Cavs were mostly victorious in isolation last night.  The one thing the warrios do with their team defense that is so impressive is eliminate that "this or that" thing with Lebron.  Its always been Lebron and Kyrie either burn you to the hole or you double up inside and leave guys outside open.  Well, they take away the latter and live with the former.

^What's really obvious to me are the mismatches once the Cavs go to their bench.  They've gotten virtually nothing from their subs all series.  The warriors don't seem to miss a beat when KD and Curry are off the court.  Look at what happened when Bron came out at the end of the first. UGLY.

Oh I get it, they're a well-constructed juggernaut that will hopefully be partially dismantled next year.

This breaks all of the rules of posting etiquette, but I couldn't help myself since someone else brought it up.

They pretty much have to win 4 of the net 5 anyway - game 7 in Oakland?  No way that's happening.  So they have to win it in 6, which means winning 4 of the next 5.  If they shake off some "rust" or whatever you want to call it and hit shots, it'll be a much closer game.

Cleveland is toast.  Perhaps LeBron's sheer will can pick them up a W at home but Golden State has this on lock.

Most of me believes it'll be over after Friday ... BUT if the Cavs manage to win (and don't discount No. 23's pride at not wanting to be swept, by the Warriors in his own building just like 2015), KD or no KD, don't tell me if that team won't be looking over its shoulders because at 3-1 going back to Oakland, it would be 2016 all over again -- with the same LeBron and Kyrie who beat you last year and who SHOULD HAVE WON LAST FRIGGIN' NIGHT!!

Hahaha - Internet 1 troll 0

The Cavs will take game 4 tonight.  They'll do it at home just to take the Warriors of the short list of teams who have swept the playoffs and finals.  I don't see 2016 happening again with the comeback, but I do have a wish in the back of my head that the Cavs have been holding back and trolling GS fans, and will destroy them the next 4 games.  One can dream.

Wow... 137 points with 24 3s... Spread a few of those to the game the other day and the series would be tied...

The Warriors blew a 3-0 lead in the finals??

Let's see how they handle the taste of defeat. It's been three months.  Game 5 is a must win for them, they lose that and they will start to get gobbled up mentally.  Lebron has won a road playoff game in 29'straight playoff series

NBA Analysts - "No team has ever come back from down 3-0 in the Finals"

Lebron - "hold my beer..."

Oh man, Rizzo and Goldhammer have comedian/GS fan Michael Rapaport on right now. I'm dying. Guy is a pretty good trash talker, seriously very funny. He did say everyone he met in Cleveland was really cool though. I'm surprised he wasn't murdered for bringing a broom into the Q on Friday.

I predict a CAVS win tonight!!!

I love people like that. He's from New York and in his Wikipedia page picture he is wearing a Knicks hat. A few years from now when Golden State is no longer a juggernaut, I'm sure he'll be riding some other bandwagon.

Now random media people are speculating LeBron's going to go to the Lakers in a couple years.

Like Savannah's going to let him live in the same town as Rihanna.......LOL

Name an NBA superstar that hasn't been rumored to go the Lakers "in a few years?"

As for living in the same town, he already owns a house there.

He ain't going there unless all his pals go too. He's going to have to deal with the Spurs and warriors at the tail end of his career. He seems pretty interested in helping the Cavs grow as a franchise

Damn, what a collapse in the second quarter. It's like they just gave up there. Hoping for some second half magic...

Gilbert would be crazy to not give Lebron a large piece of the team.  He's a god in Cleveland and a greart basketball mind.  He could extend his legacy here way past his playing years.  Make movies in LA.  Make basketball teams in Cleveland.

Cavs are still winning in electoral points.

That was one wild game.  It's a disappointing end, but I am proud of the way the cavs played.  Hats off to Golden State, they are tough.  Those missed free throws really came back to haunt the cavs.

It's almost like adding the 2nd best player in the league to a 73 win team makes then unstoppable.

Yeah, Durant was unstoppable in these finals.

Meh...let's see him go to a losing team, put together a roster around him and get to the finals.  He is a sell out (though I concede an amazing player).  Will be an interesting off season for the Cavs to add to theirs and make a run at them again.

I fell asleep at the end of the 3rd period. How'd the game end? ;)

"In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

Hats off to Durant.  Knock him all you want for joining an already championship caliber team, I won't argue with you, but he earned that MVP trophy.  He was supposed to be the difference and proved to be that and more.  Cavs caught him at the wrong time.

^precisely. Without him the Cavs would beat them.  He hit the shots and didn't shrivel in the moment. And he hit the shots with hands in his face all night.  Cavs will need to counter this off season...can't stand pat.  I think Kyrie and Lebron are the only untouchables.  After what I saw From JR I hope he stays, too.  Korver was a complete fail. I thought he was like the highest percentage 3p shooter in NBA history?? Or something?  I feel like I saw him make about 10% of his shots as a cav.  Had to have a better effort from

Him and Williams.  I think shumpert and love are gone...I think Tristan is on the block but if I were to guess I think he stays.  I think Gilbert wants to start a culture shift of "career Cavs"...I think he wants him and Irving to be here for the long haul(I'm not making that up, he has said something along those lines in the past)
