I have a lot more to add, and some of the earlier stuff, before I figured out how to resize photos for the web, will get redone when I find time. I still haven't made a dent in uploading the Fort Wayne pics because there are so many of them. I'm liking the layout a lot better than the one I used for robertpence.com, so I'll be restructuring that site later on. Next few days I'm up to my a** in alligators, though. The neighborhood historic home tour is this weekend and I'll have my tent and tables at the art fair selling photos. I'm nowhere near ready, and I'll be sorting and inventorying and printing and packaging and stuff. The last two years, I've cleared about $400 so it's worth the effort. It's fun to meet all the people who come through, too. Where are you going to settle in Indiana, atlas?

September 3, 200816 yr Where are you going to settle in Indiana, atlas? Here in Indy now. Moving here permanently next June/July. bah! Indy's not so bad, except for the flatness. The greenway/bike path system keeps growing and there are good public spaces in a handsome downtown. Besides, you're only about an hour's drive from Bloomington and Columbus (IN) and some excellent state parks, and Southern Indiana is scenic and historic, with lots of hills and woods.
September 8, 200816 yr I love this photo. Goats are such wonderful creatures. Goats are one of the main reasons I go to that fair. They have more goats than the ones in most of the surrounding counties, and goats are entertaining creatures. They're tremendously curious and sociable and they usually actively seek your attention when you walk past the pens. This year the weather was hotter than usual, though, and most of the animals were subdued. By turns we raised dairy cattle, beef cattle, hogs and sheep in addition to chickens and some other odds and ends of fowl. Mom had a few goats for a while, but they kept getting out and stripping the shrubs and flower gardens that were her pride and joy. If I were to farm and have livestock, I'd probably have goats or at least try them for a while.
