I love Queen; don't get it twisted :) He's probably one of the best rock singers out there - him and Robert Plant. Wish I grew up in that era.

You love Queens but you're affraid of Lesbians.  Humm?

Yeah, I think I know what's going on here.

David, I'm sorry.  I think I misjudged you.  Hey, there's this pretty cool bar in Northside called the Serpent.  Maybe you've heard of it?  I think you'd dig it.

I hate when it is raining, that people in nice  dry cars act like they are somehow getting wet, get in a hurry and  ignore the right of way to people actually getting wet like pedestrians, scooter riders and people on bikes. What is up with that?

Yeah, I hate that too.

The worst is when they splash you and laugh.  :whip:

Why does the Columbus zoo feel they need a press release written every time an animal gives birth at the zoo? That whorish elephant Phoebe is shooting out babies left and right anyway. No one cares at this point. With all of the important news they could put in the Enquirer, they want to talk about the the elephant's progesterone levels and ultrasounds.

You guys take stuff too seriously.

Pumpkin this is UO!  You know damn well we can take a joke!

Now man up you fat @ss!  LOL

I was talking about the guy above you with the child molester mustache

How can so many of you not know what Freddie Mercury looks like?

I  prefer listening to his music than watching him perform, but I can identify him.

I dated a girl in college who once picked up my Aladdin Sane CD off the floor and asked me who "this crazy guy" was.  It didn't last.

How can so many of you not know what Freddie Mercury looks like?

Damn Whippersnappers!  You can only teach a few.

I don't know how old you or anyone else on UO is, but I'm 25.  I'd expect every other person my age to be able to correctly identify someone like Freddie Mercury.

And most 25 year olds don't know diddly squat about the past!!

Yeah well, most older folks don't know diddly squat about the present, so it all evens out in the end.  :)

Oh Moonshine, my dear impressionable little moonshine.....You whippersnappers miss so much!

Somebody's gotta work for a living to keep the country going.

Well moonshine, the rest of us work as well.  I'm pointing and giving directions as I type this.  Now I'm snapping.    Now I'm rolling my eyes.  Now I'm asking for a glass of water with two lemon and four ice cubes.

So hard....Very challenging.

"What is this?!  I said two lemons!  TWO!!  Get it right, or you're fired!"

I wish it was that easy!

Better question is why would anyone have a Freddie Mercury avatar? Creepy obsession, perhaps?

Well isn't that self serving!  Get it...self serving!  he he he he.

Sounds like someone is in good mood today. Perhaps it's because his co-workers had to put the CPR mannequin away today?

YES!  One has been banished to New Jersey this morning, a far greater punishment than what he expected.

I think the best question would be why UO has a Freddie Mercury avatar as an option.

Wow, I just realized that there are predefined choices for avatar pictures.  I have always used my own and never noticed that option.  Now it makes a little more sense why some people have the same avatar.  I always thought they were just copying off of someone else and yanking their pic!

Hey, my Dad had one of those!  They were ok back in the 80's...now not so much!  LOL

"suburban parent culture"....so what is the stereo-type of the 'urban parent' culture?  No parents at all?  I loathe a lot about the burbs, but really!

without speaking for Jam, I took him to mean the "mini van driving - soccer mom" type of suburbanite parents.

...too into living vicariously through their kids athletics, bragging, blaming every academic failure of their kids on the teachers.  Trust me, I've seen both sides.  Of course not everyone is like that, but there is a big culture of overactive, overprotective parents in the far-out suburbs.  If you doubt that, you haven't had to spend enough time dealing with it.

sounds like my parents to a "T".  My dad lived vicariously thru my brothers sports prowless.  That came to a humbling end in the fall of 1984.  on the 48 yard line of Ohio Stadium!  My brother suffers a broken leg ala Joe Montana and was told he'll never play sports on a college level again.  That was the first time I'd seen my father cry.

Or my mom.  She when ape shit, whe I wasn't class Valedictorian but Salutatorian.

Now the cycle starts again, as my brother and father are living out their sports lives thru my 13 year old nephew.

I totally agree with the whole suburban parent thing.  One of my big pet peeves.  Even though Williamsport doesn't have "suburbs" you still see those parents who act that way.  And those are the parents who live on the outskirts and have no care in the world about the city that caused their dwellings to even exist.

I love the bumper stickers that say "My kid beat the sh!t out of your honor student."  lmao

So you're Mike Tomczak's little brother?  :-D

I am so sick of people bashing suburban parents and minivans!!!!  It is extremely uneducated, immature and ignorant assumptions that are being made.  That is my pet peeve.  We have 3 kids and a mini van, and I take offense to these comments.  Grow up.  You may be there some day and don't say never because you never know.  I love the city as much as everyone else.  Just because I live in the suburbs dosen't mean I'm and a-hole.

Again, a completely ignorant and uneducated assumption.  I never try or would try to live vicariously through my kids, rather, I want them to succeed and be the best they can be at anything they do.  Your comment is completely off base and really, again, offensive.  I don't think you have a clue of what it is to raise a kid and watch them grow and succeed.  But, it has nothing to do with living in Strongsville with a minivan and a bumpersticker with kids who play baseball.  I guess if you want to do that, you should move to Old Brooklyn, then it's fine.

 for gotribe!

gotribe, you simply aren't "one of those people". But I bet some parents that you know are. I'm a metalhead, but I don't get angry when metalheads are stereotyped as fat losers, because there are metalheads that are fat losers. But I'm not one of them!
