The grand opening at Cadillac Ranch is 8pm.  I'm on board for going over there after the Wonder Bar.  If you really want, I can PM my cell number to you and you can either call or text so that I can help you find the group.

Valerie at Wonder Bar has set aside about 7-9 spots for us.  I wouldn't want her to have to go through all of that trouble of accommodating us, then we tell her we'd prefer not to be in that particular place.  That's not a "no," but more of a "we'll see."  Hope that's cool with you guys.

 

Valerie will be around tonight, too, though I think she'll just be popping in to meet everyone and occasionally see how we're doing.

Thanks to everyone who showed up - it was great to see you all - some for the first time, others for yet another time. It was a beautiful night on East 4th, and a very very busy night at Cadillac Ranch (my partner and I opted out but hopefully the others will fill us in).

I thoroughly enjoyed the UO Happy Hour!  Thanks for Murray Hill, exspectator, jar3232, BK, and Mayday for coming out and being great company.

 

We will do it again soon!  :-D

How was caddy ranch?

BK, Murray Hill, exspectator, Jar3232, and I walked over to Cadillac Ranch around 8:30pm.  I think we were all surprised at how large the place is.  It's pretty gigantic, and has seven full bars in it. 

 

The front portion, which was decked out in all kinds of americana, was filled pretty well.  But I wouldn't say it was packed.  The back portion, Barroom Cleveland, is the dance club part.  Again, it was large and somewhat empty.  The few people on the dance floor weren't necessarily the crowd you'd see at any place on West 6th (read: older and much less attractive).  The martini bar seemed to be about the same size as the Wonder Bar. 

 

The place sort of did feel like Applebee's.  I probably wouldn't go back unless someone I was with really wanted to stop.  Other folks seemed to think that the place won't be able to sustain itself just because of the sheer size of it.

That basically sums up how I feel.

It was great to meet everyone and I had a great time.  I agree at the caddy ranch.  Luckily the protesters gave it some much needed publicity, sooo more people know about it now.  But the place is frikin HUGE.

Great meeting everyone as well, and sorry we all got separated and didn't get to give all of you guys a farewell!

Not to be a smart@ss (well, a smidge) - the last happy hour was in the Gateway neighborhood, a few blocks from Tower City's transit hub and half a block from the Healthline ;-)

Hey, Im back...I had to step away from the Urban Ohio for a little while.  I will look at my schedule and get back to you..sounds like a feasible plan.

^ We missed you last month, Believeland.  We had a good happy hour with six or seven of us back in early October.

Ive read that since.  Glad it went well and sorry i couldnt attend, I willl shoot for next thursday, I dont go out much in OC, so it should be a good change of pace.
