Bump.

Please note it is Christmas Ale season. I am sure that it would guarantee many a lively conversations (and headaches the next day).

I'm in for a happy hour.

The offer for me to find a place in Old Brooklyn is still on the table, too.

Wish I could be there!  Still outta country for a while...

Maybe springtime I can make one again.

Is it time for one of these yet. Would love to reconnect

I will take the initiative in getting one going. I suggest Flannery's as the place to meet and the evening of Thursday, Feb. 4 as the time/day to do it. Does 6 p.m. work for enough people?

I'm in.

But I checked the Cavs schedule and I didn't see anything! Please don't tell me I'm going blind... 8-)

You're going blind! :)  Home vs. Miami at 8 PM (TNT game).

Boo!!

Doesn't Hooples have live bands? If so, will we be able to hear? How's the food at Hooples? Never been there before.

Hooples is great! Amazing Glenn Schwartz used to play thursdays but is not anymore. Food is bar food, but well executed. If they have live music it would not be until later.

I should be able to join.

We did a UO happy hour this time of year last year at Hooples. I remember looking over the CIFF schedule that had just come out. There were probably six of us that attended -- I remember AMN, musky, and exspectator36.

Sounds good to me, the 4th is my Birthday ( the big three two) and skeeball night, I will try to attend....

I should be able to make this one as well

I might be able to swing by before choir practice.

Cool. It will be great meet all of you.

So this is def on?  How many folks you think will be there?  20?

^ In the UO Happy Hours I've attended, we typically have between 5 and 10 of us.  There was one at the Bier Market when we had around 15.  Everyone's been very cool and has gotten along great.

I think I'm going to bring 3 or 4 of my invisible friends... just to keep things exciting.

Save chairs for them.

Make sure you point out which ones are occupied! I don't want to sit on anyone's lap by accident.....

i would be in if it is somewhere with a patio happy hour...bar cento, taphouse, prosperity, the new place on st Clair and 6th (have not been) ...not really picky

I'm down as long as it's after 5/22.

bump!

carney's?

Next time I'm back in town is June 4th and June 6th.  Not recommending we push it back that far, but maybe we can have two gatherings!?

I've been doing a TON of traveling this year--I should probably post some pics someday soon...

So I have an idea for once-- why don't we use a city event a.k.a Tremont Hellenic Heritage Festival(http://www.annunciationcleveland.org/Festival/HellenicHeritageFestival.dsp)

to time up our Happy Hour gathering.  I'm thinking Saturday, MAY 29, afternoon sometime. 2 pm?

Any recommendation of a nearby places? Tremonters?

I usually don't venture in much, so I'd be excited for this.

that event is great. In addition to great food they sell wine and beer.

or as I call it, eeeew zo (bad memory, and it only takes one)

Sooooo....any takers?

p.s. I've actually never been to Gordon Square yet, so I could be interested in seeing that too.

Actually, there is a mini-meetup already planned as I am meeting Hts121 and his family on Saturday at the festival.  Should we make it a group thing?

we are going to the festival anyway one of the days so I would be nice to say hi and see old faces and meet new ones.  I was thinking of going closer to lunch time as I have dinner plans and don't want to be gorged on Greek food, but could always stick around. But where to meet or identify selves? Maybe a designated person could wave a Turkish flag...that would get peoples attention...

We were planning on lunchtime as well.  I can make a sign and try to find an empty table - how about near the bar/loukoumades/dessert corner of the room?

yeah! count me in for 2. Just confirm a time.

Noon Saturday.  If I can REMEMBER to make a sign.  Otherwise, I'm the one with the cutest baby in the room. :)

cutest baby in the tent, you mean? or do you mean in the indoor hall?

It would be irresponsible for me not to drop by.

No, the tent is outside. I mean indoors, where the bar is and the loukoumades stand.

okay, I will look for you all. roll call folks!

Count me in too.  Noonish sounds perfect.  I'm the good looking italian guy.

I'll try to make it, but I had an event last Saturday and have some follow-up work to do for it (mainly visiting some fifteen merchants with thank you cards).

I'll try to make it. If I do make it I will be the not as good looking and shorter Italian guy next to MH since I have met him before....

... sitting next to the cutest toddler in the room/tent/whatever ;)  See ya there.  And, no, I am not dancing, but the wife will probably be willing to lock elbows, kick some air, and snap her fingers with you.
