Alright, normally I never buy an album unless I'm damn sure I'll like it. There are only a few exceptions to this.

Back in 2000, a friend recommended the trashfest known as Papa Roach's Infest. I regretably purchased it without hearing it first (this was before they got big). I saw it on an up-and-coming sale rack. Boy, was that a waste of eight dollars! I was going through my CD's recently, and stumbled upon this atrocious album in a box of throw-aways. I played it, and let me tell you, it's even worse now than it was in 2000. The cliche mix of nu metal and suburban trash rap-rock has not aged very well. It was disgusting and made me want to vomit. I played "Last Resort" and nearly had to take a knife to my fancy kevlar woofer speakers. This CD is that bad. It just reeks "suburban MTV teenage trash." By "Broken Home", I thought I had died and gone to hell. I have no idea what Papa Roach are doing these days, but I sure as hell hope no one listens to them. Anyway, this experience made me remember what a horrible thing it is to waste money on a bad CD.

Anyone else been had?

People who say they "actually do buy cds from artists they truely respect" are so full of sh!t. Who's going to pay 12 extra bucks for "album art". Please. I know true cd quality is superior but your ear can't notice the difference between that and 192 kb/s.

I'm 21, I've been downloading music and burning them to disks since I was 13. The last cd I actually bought was probably Mase - Harlem World or Dr. Dre Chronic 2001. I used to sell mixed cds to people at school, 5 bucks each. They gave me a tracklist and I had it downloaded on Napster, burned and ready for 'em by the next day.

I just remembered two cds I bought that I regret, one was a Korn album and the other one was (I think the last) LimpBizkit album. Chocolate Starfish. Looking back, the 90s was a pretty bad time for music. Usually the first or sophmore album of any musician/band is the best; its all down hill from there.

Hahahaha .. hilarious! I was going to say Korn and Limp Bizkit, too!!

I do NOT know what I was thinking. That was my very short-lived Nu Metal phase.

Also, I regret buying Eminem's Marshall Mathers cd.

Soul Decision and Jordan Knight.

Fortunately I got to my senses before I got LFO.

I just looked up LFO. Haha. I remember this video coming on. I think this video basically sums up the 90s - a bunch of lyrics that lack cohesion and make no damn sense. The word abercrombie and fitch is in this song 687 times.

Who remembers Sisqo? Unfortunately me too.

I have no problem, even now with my matured tastes, with Pop music.

But they were just lazy.

D@mmit, quit hatin' on Joyce. I'm going to find her and marry her.  Teach me the ways of love, Joyce.

I'm sorry to say that I have a Winger CD in my collection. Don't ask. I was a teenager, hair metal was huge, and I heard he was the bass player for Alice Cooper. I have a STeve Miller Band greatest hits CD that was one of the first CD's I bought. Just not my cup o' tea. That got sent back to the second hand store.

I finally stole my wife's Ipod, which she never uses, and have been uploading my CD collection onto it. What's amazing is how the majority of music doesn't really stand the 'test of time'. I'm really finally realizing that most music just doesn't age well.

Who is Joyce?!?!?

Hahahahaha!!

"Guitars that Rule the World"- Yngwie Malmsteen, Reb Beach, Nuno Bettencourt, and assorted other spandex-clad wankers pleasure themselves over standard metal progressions of the sort programmed onto Casio keyboards.  I joined Columbia House and they accidentally sent me this as one of my initial 10 CD's instead of an album that I didn't want anyway.  Since I never planned to buy the rest of my CD commitment, I didn't feel compelled to send it back.

I think more today, people are studying to judge by your purchased music.  Especially on large networks where people can actually see what you listen to.

"what would someone think of my music if my ipod was stolen?"

Lloyd Banks' first CD.  Oy.

Don't like Nuno, Reb Beach is alright, but Yngwie rules!!!!!! The thing with Yngwie is that standard progressions bore him, leading him to overplay and lose the spirit of the song. He can work wonders when he covers songs such as "Mr. Crowley" or Rainbow's "Gates of Babylon" that are made up of riffs. But, as seen on the G3 DVD commemorating his tour with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, when in a situation requiring him to jam out with other guitarists on a simple song ("Keep on Rocking in the Free World") Ing-vay doesn't get it.

What other guitarists were on the album?

Hmmm. Skolnik, Zakk Wylde and the Betts/Haynes tune are the only ones that I know for a fact that would excite me... and that's if the Zakk Wylde song wasn't one of those generic "wah fest/try-to-play-a-penationic-fast-as-Iommi-but-not-tap-into-Iommi's-brilliance" that Zakk is known for. I've heard good things about Albert Collins and I know I've heard the Earl Slick song somewhere, so they are possibles. The Elliot Easton song may also be worth checking out. Don't know that Gabrels guy.

Gabrels played with Bowie.  According to Wikipedia, he's also done alot of solo work, and alot of small bands that I've never heard of.  He also did some work with Robert Smith on some songs.

Nobody can top this!

Hands down it's got to be Right Said Fred.

I agree. I don't think I can top that.

Full price? That will be tough to beat. Although I think I did pick up the single of "I'm too sexy" from a bargain bin in college because it had the spanish version on it too. No idea where that is now.

I thankfully stayed away from nu metal so I don't have any Limp Bizkit coasters. I have a ton of crappy alternative radio one-hit wonders CDs from the early 90's. I also did a ton of bargain bin digging in college so I am sure that i have something embartassing lurking in my CD cases.

Yes, I paid full price.  It was the late 80's/Early 90's.  We had good music and bad video's then!  That song was a hoot and I loved it.
