It was a nice day, so I went out and shot a few in one of my favorite hoods.

Ya did good.

Beautiful. Pittsburgh has such wonderful old working-class neighborhoods, and it would be wonderful if they could stay that way. So often that doesn't happen; either they get gentrified out of the reach of the people who took care of them for years, or they go the other way.

Excellent stuff!

I find much of Pittsburgh's housing stock to be quite ugly.

^Well, I don't know if I'd go that far.  Pittsburgh has a variety of housing that ranges from the old-school mansions of Shadyside and Squirrel Hill, to beautiful ornate rowhousing in Manchester and Mexican War Streets.  I think you're referencing the "Pittsburgh rowhouse," which is generally working class (thus, no ornate detail).  In that case, I don't think they are "ugly," i just think there is better housing in the city than it.

^Yes, I know there are some really beautiful parts of Pittsburgh with some great housing, but I HATE those damn front porch/overhang things, and the vinyl siding that is on much of the housing.  That is the image I have of much of Pittsburgh.
