Sidney-based Ferguson Construction Co. recently started construction on the future two-story building at 1401 S. Main St. on the University of Dayton campus. UD announced Friday the $45 million, 51,000-square-foot facility will be called the "Roger Glass Center for the Arts." It is named after local entrepreneur, philanthropist and UD graduate Roger Glass, who is president and CEO of Marion's Piazza. The Roger Glass Center for the Arts, which will be constructed at the southeast corner of Main and Stewart streets, aims to elevate the arts on campus and provide greater connection with the Dayton community through concerts, dance and theater performances, as well as art exhibits featuring students, faculty, visiting artists and community members. They are turning it all into a suburban office park design. At least OnMain looks like it will be a dense urban style development.
