October 16, 200816 yr Interesting. From the 1964 map: 1. Interstate 471 proposed on what is pretty much the current alignment. 2. US 50 freeway around Mariemont to then proposed Interstate 275 would have followed the Miami River valley (as I had suspected) to the freeway stubs currently in existence. 3. Cross County Freeway ends at Galbraith, with the remainder proposed. 4. Interstate 74 ended at Harrison, and was incomplete further into the city. 5. Red Bank Freeway would have connected to the proposed US 50 freeway where it would diverge to the south. I sometimes wonder how traffic would be improved if the freeway was complete.
