December 2, 200816 yr I already guessed a previous one, and could not play b/c I did not have any pictures from the US (lost them in a computer crash), SO if anyone wants to steal my turn I am ok with that
December 5, 200816 yr It looks like people don't want to find their own pics so I'll put up another neighborhood. If you've seen these pics before, let other people try to figure it out.
December 5, 200816 yr God...could be anywhere. All the boarded up buildings has me thinking New Orleans, but those houses arent typical NO houses. Could be Lockland in Cincinnati, somewhere in Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis maybe?
December 5, 200816 yr ^I thought of Compton when I saw mention of the Pirus, but both the buildings and the the vegitation looks too midwestern to me.
December 5, 200816 yr It's Franklinton/The Bottoms, whatever you wanna call it - in Columbus. Jeez. LA? St. Louis? NoLa?! You guys are all over the place lol That was a good one to stump people with I guess hehe. I remember when that dude in the first pic came out of the house, he walked towards me and tried to sell me the house next door on the left for 15k. It probably wasn't even his to sell lol Grumpy post something since you were the closest.
December 6, 200816 yr Well here are some photos I stole off the web. I assume this will be fairly easy for those that have visited this neighborhood or lived nearby, but I guess we'll see.
December 6, 200816 yr Its not Charleston, Savannah or New Orleans. Good guesses though. wow. I have no idea, I just new it was Charleston, like Ms. Peabody.
December 6, 200816 yr well it has got some southern flora...but also some sort of (but not full on) deciduous trees. That is why I thout it was in the southest or gulf area. I believe a hint is in order.
December 7, 200816 yr ^ The American flag would be a little unusual in Toronto. ^^ You're getting closer. Yes, apparently a hint is in order. Its one of the older, and most famous neighborhoods in this city. Its in the south, in one of the, lets say 20, largest cities in the country. Also if you'll look at the first couple pictures you'll notice that they're sided with stone, which is a little uncommon for most southern coastal regions especially in houses built in the late 19th, early 20th century.
December 7, 200816 yr I have only been to houston and san antonio and I don't thing either looked like that. Maybe i should have gotten around more....
December 7, 200816 yr I have only been to houston and san antonio and I don't thing either looked like that. You thing wrong my friend.
December 7, 200816 yr Galveston is very middle class and the buildings are too new. Wherever it is, it seems like it would be close to Louisiana though.
December 7, 200816 yr Alamo Heights? that is the only SA one I can think of now Alamo Heights is a beautiful suburb, but not quite as old or as pretty. Plus giving you a suburb to guess at would be a little unfair. But you've got the city, if no one can come up with the neighborhood we'll call you the winner.
December 7, 200816 yr Interesting, I did not know ALamo Heights was a burb. San Antonio has a lot of suburban style sprawl right in city limits. My whole family, minus me, lived there for a time in the 90's so you would think I could do better guessing.
December 8, 200816 yr ^Well no one came up with the King William District, so since you got the city I think its your turn Peabody99. Oh and I only know Alamo Heights is a suburb because from 2001-2003 I lived in a tiny little corner of the city that shared a zip code with them.
December 8, 200816 yr ^Well no one came up with the King William District, so since you got the city I think its your turn Peabody99. I'm shocked that is SA. I would have never guessed.
December 8, 200816 yr ^ SA despite being really auto centric has a couple beautiful neighborhoods and a lot of architectural and artistic diversity when you get off the beaten path. If the bus service there didn't suck, I'd probably consider it my favorite American city. Of course I have a soft spot for it as it's the first place my wife and I lived after getting married.

November 2, 201014 yr This thread was fun! Why did it die? This one is kinda easy but it'll get the ball rolling. Here's a clue:
