October 25, 200816 yr Just a beautiful building. I'm glad they saved it from the corporate neglect that seems to affect too many of these treasures. Great restoration job too, looks like a great place to call home.
October 25, 200816 yr I'm really jealous. That building is stunning. It is great to see that it was saved. The article made no mention of what would happen with the retail portion, unless i missed it. Any ideas or word?
October 27, 200816 yr This became one of my favorite buildings when I used to work downtown. I love how the interior turned out.

October 28, 200816 yr oh beautiful. i would like to see more exterior pics -- if anyone can post some? i have been thinking about doing a thread on the old nyc area piano factory buildings in the south bronx and queens for the longest time, so this is inspiring.
October 28, 200816 yr I have some "before" photos at home, if anyone wants to see them. Just exterior, of course. I *would* like to see "before" pics of the upper floors, unsealed after decades.
October 28, 200816 yr The interior was very plain and had been modified to fit the Burger Chef restaurant in. As I recall, the upper floors had a central opening thus making an upper level show room connected to the first floor. I was in it in 1999 and the pigeon infestation was severe on the top floor.
