Posted October 29, 200816 yr Well the other day I was whining publicly, on this forum, about wanting to get access to the Atrium II building's top level terraces (floors 27-30). That same day I was extended an offer from a fellow forumer who has access. Those terraces are amazing and I'm truly jealous that some people get to enjoy that everyday at work. Enjoy! 1. As I was walking over to 4th & Sycamore I saw this scene and couldn't pass it up given the recent news... 2. A couple Burnham beauties 3. Looking down from the 27th floor 4. The Banks under construction 5. Downtown Covington, KY 6. Queen City Square under construction 7. Newly completed SouthShore condominium tower with I-471 bridge and Sawyer Point on Cincinnati's riverfront 8. Great American Ballpark with the Licking River in the background 9. The newly completed Ascent condominium tower has its sweeping design inspired by the Roebling Suspension Bridge seen here 10. Procter & Gamble world headquarters 11. It goes on for a couple blocks worth of buildings 12. Looking over NE Downtown and the Pendleton area of Over-the-Rhine 13. Top of the Chemed Building, which is across the street 14. And some more neighbors 15. Looking back into the heart of Downtown Cincinnati 16. Newport on the Levee 17. Lytle Park in the south-eastern most portion of Downtown...a highway is under there 18. One Lytle Place Apartments...thank goodness for brutalism 19. Paul Brown Stadium with more Northern Kentucky hills and I-75 bridge in the background 20. Scripps Howard building 21. Another view you don't see too often with the western hills in the background 22. The next few are looking south. This was one of my favorite views as you can see all the twists/turns of the Licking River as it approaches the mighty Ohio River 23. 24. 25. 26. Mt. Adams with P&G in foreground 27. A couple from ground level now...Fountain Square's water wall 28. Via Vite Italian restaurant 29. Via Vite with Carew Tower in background 30. A shot of the new dedicated two-wheeler parking spots. They look quite temporary right now...hopefully they repaint those lines to standard. 31. Mercantile Library building on Walnut Street 32. So long
October 29, 200816 yr Nice! Have to say though - proctor and gamble's world headquarters is really unimpressive. You would think it would be much more grandiose.
October 29, 200816 yr Rando, great photos! I think this is your best: http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e33/UncleRando/Cincinnati/Downtown/Atrium%20II%20Terrace/IMG_8180.jpg Way to make me homesick.
October 29, 200816 yr Excellent shots. The National City/PNC certainly makes a statement. My family has a long-standing business relationship with National City, only because that relationship started with Fort Wayne National Bank before it was eaten by National City. I'm waiting to see what happens to client service under PNC; it wasn't exactly outstanding with National City, compared to what it was before they took over.
October 29, 200816 yr Jealous. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 29, 200816 yr Based on that first photo, I'd love to see the National City Building come down.
October 29, 200816 yr These are great photos of several communities visible from that perspective. I've looked at a lot of Cincinnati urban images but none seems to be taken from this unique perspective. From this lofty perch, you can see why so many people consider Cincinnati to be one of the most picturesque cities in the U.S. (Brutalism architecture aside) Thanks!
October 29, 200816 yr "Looking the Queen Up & Down" Pervert. At first glance I thought this thread was about MayDay. he he he he he
October 29, 200816 yr "Looking the Queen Up & Down" Pervert. At first glance I thought this thread was about MayDay. he he he he he You know, they just had the famous drag queen race here in DC on 17th near Dupont...I thought it might be pics from that! Awesome pictures. Cincinnati is beautiful. I just watched some youtube video from some guy in Cleveland saying that we should nuke Cincy and make Cleveland and NE Ohio its own state, and while I know it's a joke, it pisses me off that our state is so divided and can't recognize the beauty of all of Ohio from the hills of Cincinnati to the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland. We have such a kick ass state, but unfortunately, many of our own citizens don't appreciate it.
October 30, 200816 yr I like how the hills in the distance are really noticeable in several of these shots. Quite a setting for a midwestern city! Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Now if we could just get that Ohio hub built... Awesome pics, by the way.
October 30, 200816 yr Good point...I've lived in Ohio my whole life (not counting now, when I'm at school), but I've only been to Cleveland once, and that was for like 2 days. It's sad that I've been to places like San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City -all places that are at least 4 hour flights, than I've been to Cleveland which is a 4 hour drive.

October 31, 200816 yr I love Cincy! I think it is one of the most picturesque cities in the midwest. It has a really comfortable vibe to it.
January 18, 201015 yr #5 is my favorite from this set.....the river, Roebling, Covington, hills, and the interstate all look great together.
