Necko (Neil, Eighth, Cannon, King Organization) is a tiny residential neighborhood just south of OSU containing old, stately homes. Some streets in the neighborhood are brick and it's far enough west to avoid the loud, boisterous student body. The downside is that it wasn't far enough away from OSU for some homes to get bulldozed, but most of the neighborhood is still thankfully intact. Surprisingly, this neighborhood has been around for awhile, as the neighborhood plan by the city of Columbus dates back to when the mayor was Tom Moody.

Hyde Park-esq...thanks for the pics.

Very nice! I'd love to see more Columbus around here!

Bah, it's Dennison Place!

But without the circles.  :)

nice job. this is where all the "goth" and "hippy" students would live and hang out back in the heyday of the old king avenue coffee house. then trudge over to mustards or crazy mamas and those other old high st bars. then back to keep the party going. then go to classes sometimes. like that.

Hmmm, Necco, Didn't know about this name. It still does not make me crave those chalky discs that resemble oversize Tums.

Necco means cat in Japanese.
