YOUNGSTOWN - Regional Chamber leaders are hoping to boost the economy by sharing - new revenue, that is.

The chamber said Monday its directors became the first such group to support unanimously the Northeast Ohio Mayors & City Managers Association's ''Regional Economic Revenue Study'' to help spark economic growth.

The study is designed to allow the region's 16 counties to share land use, infrastructure planning and revenue to help attract economic development.

This has to be one of the most innovative regional approaches ive read about.  It goes well beyond metro area regionalism.

Youngstown (and environs) seems to be the most forward thinking region in Ohio.
