Cincinnati: 7-0 Xavier Musketeers - Auburn Tigers Game Photos

Last night I attended the Xavier-Auburn game at the Cintas Center.  They played another great game to go 7-0 to start the season.  The arena was packed and the crowd was loud which made for a great evening.

Fantastic.  I'm not a big Xavier fan, but I did grow up cheering both them and UC so I like seeing them do well.  I'm not a big fan of the gray home jerseys, but that's neither here nor there I guess.  Thanks for the great shots.

You know, I get free tickets and I have yet to go to a game. Maybe I should...

Thanks!

Great! I always was a UC fan growing up, and still am, but it's good to see successful Cincy teams.  With the Bengals and Reds being perpetually shitty, having a solid UC football team and XU basketball team and the Cyclones helps a bit.

...or you could send them this way...Ha awesome photos. My grandfather attended Xavier back in the 50s so I was raised a Musketeer fan. Always glad to see them do well because they do things the right way and represent Cincinnati well...

The best photos are of the cheerleaders. ;)

Canon, Canon, Canon, Nikon, Canon, Video Camera, Canon

You will start to see this Canon dominance in sports photography fade now that Nikon has the best line of DSLR's.

...oh no you didn't! I really want to see the 'video camera' feature of the D90 ported over to other high-end cameras, such as the D3x (or future iterations). That would be amazing to use during a game -- to be able to splice out an image from the 'video' and have it at the same resolution of the camera. Splicing out images from a regular video camera results in crap.

Where is XUMelanie's love for the Blue Blob!  I suspect she just hasn't seen the thread yet.

Thanks for the pics CincyImages.

Ah....the Blue Blob rocks!  :)  Great job on the pictures!

The grey jersey's are XU's 'special occasion' jersey's. I believe, b/c it would have been (and was) Sean Miller's 100th win.

Great photo's, you must have had some sweet seats, I was enjoying the game from the lofty heights of section 209.

What a great time to be an XU fan. From Gillen to Skip to Thad to Sean, each coach has elevated the program to the point where it's at today. UC just needs to catch up w/ us at this point 8-)

Awesome shots!

Auburn Sucks!

Are you a season ticket holder?

I am also an undergrad alum and have had season tickets since I graduated in 1998.

So what is the history behind the Blue Blob?  I was surprised that the mascot didn't have its own wikipedia page.  Melanie you better get on that! ;)

Geez. I'm a full-time employee there (stop into Web Services and say hi!).

Looks like a good time!  There's nothing like the atmosphere at a college sports even.
