March 4, 201015 yr I'm fairly certain that there is no vinyl siding on the CSU dorms. Looks like there's not. The early renderings had some. What would I rather see? Brick and stone. Projects like this in other cities tend to be brick or stone and have a more traditional look. Some of it is taste, obviously... but it's worth noting how much of this we do here, compared with what's done elsewhere.
March 4, 201015 yr the 11 river townhomes cost 600k because they are 4,000 square feet. This is twice as big as the 27 Coltman ones. I guess that makes sense for older wealthier suburbanites.
September 8, 201014 yr A pic of the new condos going up across from the metropark'smarinia in Rocky River.
September 8, 201014 yr ^Is this "the Cliffs" project? If so, it is time to move it into the "under construction" category, MayDay - http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=97396
September 8, 201014 yr That Cliffs project is so cool. I would love to wake up to that view every morning.

According to The Cliffs site here they range from 275k to $1M. The smallest unit is 1400 square feet, so the prices don't seem too bad. I wish they had some floorplans posted though.

I might be thinking of a different project. Is there another project on Rocky River that is just townhomes without a giant building on top?

Those look incredible. Apparently you can even add an elevator :-o

September 8, 201014 yr Thanks to which ever mod moved my picture. I was being lazy. The Cliffs project was the one that was going to be on the Lakewood side of the river north of Detroit. They got as far as demo the two houses they bought, some grading of the hillside and fencing the area off when the sh!t hit the fan in the housing market.
September 8, 201014 yr ^So... for someone that is geographically challenged once I enter the midwest... there is a difference between 11 River and the Cliffs?
September 8, 201014 yr ^So... for someone that is geographically challenged once I enter the midwest... there is a difference between 11 River and the Cliffs? Yep. 11 River is on the west bank of the river directly across from the Metroparks marina. It is being built on the bank of the river. The Cliffs is planned to be built on the East bank of the river and north of the Marinia and Detroit bridge. It is going to be around 100 units and extend from the bank of the river all the way up to Sloan Ave at the top of the hill. I believe the developers still has options on the site, I could be wrong though...

They had theyre financing fall through and had several reserved. They still hope to do it though. The 11 River guy (same one as Coltman) must really have his act together, that he was able to finance both projects, and get them moving.... I didnt even realize 11 River had broken ground.

I go down to get my kids ice cream at the Marina pretty regularly they have been working on those 4 or 5 units since late June.
