October 22, 201014 yr Great story. I hope a book was written about his life. If there wasn't, there should be. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
October 23, 201014 yr Thing is though, Americans didn't start getting fat on a wholesale level until the '90s.
October 23, 201014 yr I just reread this. > I jogged 15 miles a day 15 miles a day, day after day? Highly unlikely. >but it just made me want to eat more. That's the problem with any sort of high calorie-per hour exercise. You exercise for a relatively brief amount of time, leaving the whole rest of the day to eat. A good 5+ hour hike or bicycle ride leaves less time to actually eat. Best of all is a backpacking situation, where you physically cannot access more food, which is why hiking the Appalachian trail or something similar causes more weight loss than virtually anything else.
October 23, 201014 yr I wish buses, subways and streetcars had more handles or better placed handles to grab onto. A lot of them don't anticipate over-crowding. It's kinda awkward when you fall into someone as the bus brakes or accelerates all of a sudden. You got to get your bus legs

I hate cardio. I didn't do it every day and I didn't start out doing 15. This was after I quit smoking. I was restless and looking for any way to keep my adrenaline up.
