East Campus; has the busiest sidewalks in the city, highest concentration of student housing outside of the dorms on campus, and the unenviable reputation of large-scale couch burnings. The large Greek presence and numerous rowdy college bars will deter a good number of people, but if you can get past it there are plenty of reasons to visit and while there are quite a few atrocious student apartment buildings, there are some nice homes and winding streets east of High St, not to mention some tasty eats. This covers a good chunk of the area with a focus on the commercial corridor on High St., which for this stretch is unusual in that it is one-sided with everything on the east side of the street. Unfortunately none of the residential Iuka Park section in the northeast is included in this thread. That'll probably be it's own in the future.

Gotta love these types of areas in cities just for their high levels of activity and great diversity of food options.  Love the old building...the newish ones not so much.  Thanks for the pics.

I use to live on Oakland, between 4th and Summit! Those were the days! Great pics!!!!

Ah, this is great.  This is the part of Columbus I wanted to see more of.  Thanks.

great set.  yea, indianola really is a nice street in this area and am glad to see that region represented a bit.  I look forward to the Iuka set, I always enjoyed going to that park when I lived around there.

Ha! My wife did too. In the rowhouse apartments closer to the corner of Oakland and Summit. I was so glad when we moved away from there. ;)

I would say I miss living at 11th and Summit...but I'm too old for that now ;).
