Posted December 31, 200816 yr Just East of Bexley is Eastmoor. Most of the neighborhood was laid out pre-WWII,with most construction taking place post-WWII. Residential areas here vary quite a bit with a good deal on the more modest side. As far as the two major commercial corridors go, they're basically sprawly, with Main St. (the one included here) being run-down and a striking contrast to Bexley's. It's definitely got the sleaze element down. The transition from nice homes to Main St. is very abrupt. MAP It starts off innocent enough. Eastmoor Blvd is lined with traffic circles and I noticed quite a few speed humps all around the neighborhood. Definitely improves safety for cycling. Can you guess the theme? And then Main hits you like a brick in the face. Hence the "sleaze" comment. Looks like an urban storefront now ironically used for a sprawling (used?)car lot. Motel galore! At least there are a couple of good reasons to go to Main St.

December 31, 200816 yr Fortunately it looks like the residential is still in pretty good shape. I've observed that when a neighborhood starts to decline the commercial goods first.
