DAY 3: CHERRY CREEK

I took to the light rail and bus down to Cherry Creek, transferring at the Alameda Station

Cherry Creek is a mall and shopping district in the city of Denver with many high end stores.

Cherry Creek North is the shopping are immediately North of the mall.  The mall isn't surrounded by a sea of parking, so the transition between the two is VERY easy.

Part 7 continues up through the residential parts of Denver.  Part 7 is BY FAR my favorite, because the houses I found were unexpectedly beautiful.  Here's the link: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18118.new.html

It looks so modern, but in a tasteful way. Well, except for that Urbanoutfitters! lol!

Cherry Creek looks nicer and better thought out than most temples to ruinous consumerism. :|

Excellent photo tour. :-)

Yeah, Cherry Creek was fantastic.  The mall was a large typical suburban (but within the city) mall with very high end chains.  Cherry Creek North was also in the city, but instead of large chains it had hundreds of high end boutiques and galleries.  It seemed like both worked together instead of competed.

I was thinking the same exact thing.  Most of that infill looks great, but that is easily the lamest UrbanOutfitters I have ever seen.

Very cool!!

You should've seen Cherry Creek in the early 90's.  Oy.  Much better now.
