Posted January 3, 200916 yr ...continued from http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18118.new.html On my walking tour of the city's East side, I took a trip through City Park. The largest park in the city (excluding the Mountain Parks owned by the City & County) has some great amenities. It was a bit bleak in the middle of winter, but it was still being used pretty heavily. Denver East High School This is the absolute best MLK stature I've seen. Denver Museum of Nature & Science A map of how to get to Downtown via bike. That's awesome. And the entrance to the city golf course. That's it for City Park. The zoo is also located in the park, but I didn't have the time or money to go through it. Part 9 is the last thread of the tour. I went through the University of Colorado at Denver campus and took one last look at Confluence Park and LoDo http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18120.new.html
January 3, 200916 yr Excellent. I didn't know Denver had areas like that; some of those gave me a strong Chicago parks-and-boulevards vibe, particularly Washington Park at the west end of the Midway Plaisance (59th Street) in Hyde Park.
January 5, 200916 yr Great shots! I would have ditched the conference and gone snowboarding, but that is just me!
January 14, 200916 yr I can see why so many people who get priced out of California's cities go to Denver... looks like a really great place!
