January 25, 200916 yr Wow great post. Although I don't agree that Bayonne is worst than Lorain, it has some great commercial and residential still intact.
January 25, 200916 yr More like Lorain circa 1970's before the industrial economy tanked, and when the ethnic clubs and organizations were still thriving, and there were businesses downtown. Maybe Lorain today is more like Camden or Paterson?
January 25, 200916 yr Yup. Bayonne. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 25, 200916 yr Neat thread. I don't know of anything that would ever take me to Bayonne, and I'm glad I got to see it. The photos are excellent. I wonder if the Berghoffs whose name the building bears are related to the Berghoff family whose name is on one of Chicago's best-known restaurants, and who ran a major local brewery in Fort Wayne.
